Summary: The incidents which occurred on August 14th and 15th bring a group of young boys and girls together... They are members of a group they call themselves the "Mekakushi Dan" (Blindfold Organization) and each member possesses a strange power involving their eyes. Will the members of this peculiar organization be able to solve the mysteries behind these incidents and see the truth?

Excellent style, animation and music. If you like the monogatari series visually then you'll love the shit out of this. I recommend getting to at least episode 3, then everything makes sense since the first two episodes are kind of disjointed.

Me neither since I haven't read the novels. Episode 4 wasn't the best but the newest ep was pretty good.

I feel like ep. 4 is gonna seem far more important later. Now that they've kinda "gotten started" I hope they don't keep doing that but there's gotta be something up with that whole groundhog day scenario then the ending of this most recent ep.

Still don't know enough about anything to speculate but the end of this ep just has me thinking WTF.

I liked episode four the most, actually. The first half wasn't overly great, but the second half was a masterpiece.

Still haven't watched episode five, though, I won't get to watch it before tomorrow.

This series is really interesting. Just finished episode 6 and it seems to take place some time before the first couple episodes. As it stands, it seems like they're really delicately dancing around how every character knows each other and eventually it'll all tie together. The show is fun and entertaining, but there's some serious dark tones hidden away here and there, or so it seems.

Yeah you hit the nail on the head regarding how I feel about the show. It reminds me a lot of Haruhi where a simple linear story would give away too much. Another anime that I liked a lot that did something like that was Baccano. Either way I have no clue what the fuck is going on but it was a good episode.

Yep, loved it, character interaction is A+, as always, though episodes with Kenjirou are always awesome, I just love teachers with irresponsible tendencies. I would probably watch the series for the music alone, but I like the approach it takes. Always surprised to see that somehow, everyone seems to be connected in one way or another; I wonder if there's a connection to their eyes there.

The episode at least cleared my question why Haruka does not remember Shintarou even though they spent quite a lot of time together. Still leaves me wondering what motivations some characters have, Kenjirou and Kano seemed somewhat malevolent, at least that smile was unsettling. When Takane was hurrying through the hallway, I was wondering if it was just my imagination that Kenjirou was sporting a smile, but I guess he was.

It's all going to tie in together eventually lol. But yeah, I agree, still very clueless where it's going. There's still no clear antagonist (the teacher/scientist guy seems like he could be the closest thing to a villain) and if anything this episode created more questions then it answered. Still really enjoying the show though!

So, I'm assuming this ep shows the day (Curiously its August 15th, like so many other events in the show so far) that Ayano's dad came in contact with the Serpent. I'm assuming both mom and dad got sent to that other world and he came back with it.

Also, anyone else notice that no one's ever all alone for these 'near-death' experiences? Even Takane and Haruka had Mr. Serpent with them. (Aside from that, they mentioned that his power only works at night but going back and watching the scene with him at Haruka's bedside kinda makes me question that.)

Wow this new opening is complete garbage in every possible aspect. Not a fan of it at all. I liked the last ending from the previous episode, but that seems to be gone now. Weird.

Stuff is starting to make sense. But I think the stuff from Haruka was near dusk, time wise. Right?

The new opening was likely a one-off so they can have opening credits, but still progress the plot. If you read the song lyrics it's actually Ayano giving a monolog with a lot of backstory. The EDs also change based on who is the focus of the episode.

I was always on the fence about whether the professor was a good guy or a bad guy. I could never really put my finger on it until this episode.
