Any Jewelry experts out there? Need halp

Hello BG,

I am trying to sell a bunch of old things and I found this old ring in a jewelry box stuffed in the garage. All I remember about it is buying it while I was in Spain for about 500 euro's for a girl I was dating at the time and it was some antique Victorian or something style thing. When we broke like 9 years ago she gave it back to me and it's been collecting dust since.

I can't remember anything about it. As the thread title suggests....halp. I don't want to walk into a jewelry store and have them say it's worth like 25$ if it's still worth close to what I paid for it.

I'd recommend getting it appraised in a few different locations. If you have any documentation stating how much you paid still, that may help. But pictures really can't do much for you since there's no way to tell what it's made of, size of the stones, quality of the stones, etc.

it could be paraiba tourmaline, but its really hard to say from that picture. the way the metal sits underneath the gemstone makes me think its not actually worth what you paid for it. like melena said, take it to get appraised to find out the truth!
