XI Wiki
I've gone off the deep end with my XI collection, and I am going to start a page on the wiki (soon) that details all of it, or at least what I can find.
A few people have asked about similar listings so that they may try to find merch for themselves, or just for self-curiosity of what's all out there.
Has anyone attempted this on BG Wiki anywhere yet? Initial searching doesn't show much outside of what Funk has added to his timeline for some flavor (IE: Beta2 pictures, some vana-con merch, etc). Closest resource for a lot of the items is scattered across https://wiki.ffo.jp/
The goal will be a listing of all media (the games and their platforms and regions, and soundtracks), book/magazine/etc publications (official, licensed, and other (probably not doujin)), and then anything and everything else under the merchandise umbrella.
Picture(s) of the item, en/jp title, isbn/serial, and other bits of info.
Any objections or suggestions off the cuff?

No objections.
Documenting the official merchandise from Square for FFXI sounds like a good page. Just don't go nuts with the pictures.

Anything toward archival is a worthwhile effort. Tons of media has been lost to time. Anything to mitigate that is brilliant.

Well, not as far as long as I hoped to be at this point, but I didn't want it sitting any longer. Initial Release is live, and it includes Books, Guides, and Manga!

2026.02 Update. Probably not very exciting for most people, but a lot of work went into getting Magazines added.
I have also gone back and added a few entries into Books, but more importantly went back through and added Notes to each and every prior Publication. This took forever to do. I realized that by some of the questions I was getting asked, the lack of context on what some of these things were about weren't very helpful. I may go back and further add an overall per section note to give even more details about the items at a high level.
