Zealot's Shattered Pixel Failures

Twice in a row I've reached the Dwarf level on Rogue only to get trapped between two wizard guys who zap me faster healing potions can cure me and lost epic loot. First one had a ring of might +1 and a +7 Assassin's blade.

Also working from home for the indefinite future so I may try playing some less impossible games.

I think I'm ready for 1BC runs after 5 completed runs on 0BC and at least 1 visit to each biome

Salodin, are you good/okay with shields and parrying yet? I haven't really put in any effort with them yet. Also my HotK fights are still pretty sloppy.

I could be wrong but I think that only happens if you're using a "slow" weapon

You merge a wand with the staff to get it to shoot different things. Honestly the only things I would infuse are disintegrate, frost, earth, or maybe lighting

Fire will get you killed or burn up all the dewdrops and the rest are just situational debuffs

I get that part I guess what I meant was I'm not clear on how much you're supposed to upgrade the staff/a wand before imbuing and then after. Does the Mage need any upgrade scrolls on weapons or focus only in the staff?

Only focus on the staff and you probably won't benefit from Amy wand upgrades unless you get a buff wand on 1-4 before you put any upgrades into your staff

I usually try to hold off until the slime to use any of my upgrades just in case I find a +1/2 useful wand

Ok I just beat the Tengu, I have a ring of might +2 but I haven't gotten any good wands yet, just Prismatic Light and Corrosion so I haven't imbued yet. I have a feeling a +1 staff isn't going to cut it in the caves.

Dead to the Tengu, was doing 2-8 damage per hit and randomly did 16 and killed me.
