computer upgrade help

alright, so with my taxes coming back im able to some long overdue computer upgrades, but unfortunately i wont have enough to upgrade to a better video card, which is where my dilema arises

as of right now i have a radeon x800xt pe, agp video card, which is a pretty nice card, no complaints, but to upgrade would cost around $500 or so and force me to switch to a pci-e (w/e) motherboard, SOOO, right now im looking at getting a athlon64X2 3800, but im needing to find a good motherboard thats compatible with both agp and the cpu, if anyone has any suggestions, im open for all ideas

If you need to upgrade all of that, its probably a lot cheaper (and less hassle) to get a new computer. What's the price range you are looking for?

that card is still fucking sweet, you don't need to upgrade it anytime soon.

Just get a faster cpu/mobo and some ram (now a days, you should have 1gb+)

Im a MSI fan myself. Had nothing but good results with MSI products. Awesome warranty service too even though they were all bought via Ebay.

i dont buy prebuilt computers, i build and mod computers

and yeah, right now i have 1gb of ram, and im getting another gb of faster ram

MSI have the best industry level RMA service for computer stores
in my experience, asus has some of the worst industry level, but much better consumer level
personally Im a fan of gigabyte

well i used to have a soltek, unbelievable board, thing took a beating and kept on ticking, now im on a dfi, havent had any problems with this one

edit, oh yeah, and im not that big of a msi fan, i used to sell computer parts, had a lot of problems with msi overall
