TAU merit additions

I read through a bunch of the topics (except not going to read through pages like 5-17 of that huge ass one) and was wondering one question based on this timeline:

So does this mean no new merits will be added until June? I was under the impression they would be added at the start of TAU

I would assume some would be added with the expansion, but yeah, timeline says june~aug will involve other merit thingys. It wasnt stated in the other thread either way.

I don't think it'll be so bad waiting an extra 2 months for the merit changes, seeing as how the job changes are listed as being in place at expansion release, and some of the changes in development sounded huge.

Indeed, a lot of people have yet to cap merits, and when the expansion comes out, MOST will be doing the new missions and playing around a bit with the new jobs. Two months will fly by for most people.

I think the reasoning behind the delayed release is so they can see the effect of the job adjustments first and then base the potency of the merits on the results of the job adjustments.

Give them some time to test those changes. I mean, what would have happened if they didn't had one year to test Absolute Virtue before releasing it? At least, we have a guarantee everything will be balanced

I have no problems waiting 2 months on merits. It's not like there are other popular games that have been out for almost 18 months that are still having MASSIVE changes to how jobs are balanced. If the dev team needs time to balance the jobs more, they should have it. Adding 3 new jobs is a big change.

Theres gonna be a new trait you can merit that gives +5% damage increase per upgrade to anything with Jailer or Virtue in it's name.

well my basic point was i wanted 10+.9999 merit ready for when the new merits came out,since otherwise i'd just be using it on fufu crap.

If there arent new merits ready on release then ill just spend them now
