<_< Anyone else think it's gonna be the last straw for a lot of players if the next update fails hard? What with end-game shells dropping left and right, [the name that not be said] having an expansion and PSU coming out players (especially ones back in school, double especially for the ones who have done a fuckton in the last 3 years) in general are going to be even more tempted by enjoyable games that are convenient to them. I dunno, I'm usually the type to say "shaddup xi will be fine" but it feels like SE has to do something big to keep the people playing and knowing them they just wont :/

What did that timeline say was coming out next anyway.

Yeah sort of, but it's not even so much that anymore. Aside from like 2-3 servers a deathgrip monopoly on things has pretty much ended. It switches here and there as to who gets more claims in a week but it's pretty even over a long enough time line. It's actually a lack of shit to do at this point, let alone new/fair stuff.

On the contrary for a lot of people during the time COP came out the JP presence on servers was dwindling and it allowed for NA's to actually develop more than they ever had before.

Eh, whatever. People have been saying that for over a year now. And indeed, endgame players have been trickling out. But personally I see this as a good thing. It's good to have fresh blood entering the endgame scene instead of the same old people killing the same thing for years.

The bottom line is, there is literally nothing Square Enix can possibly do that would be a "permanent fix" for the players who are really getting sick of the game. "Fixing" kings? That will tide people over for a few months until they get all those abjurations they've been dying for. Then we'll be back where we are now, with people complaining. New content? They've been doing that with every update, but when you're at the point in the game where you've experienced absolutely everything, new content is only going to keep you interested for a couple more months tops.

If you're sticking around only in hopes that the next update will be your knight in shining armor, saving the game for you, just do yourself a favor and quit, because you're going to be disappionted.

CoP added wyrms. Even though the loot tables were less than stellar, they were challenging, have money drops, and a few nice toys.

Ill quit soon if the next update doesnt add more endgame content. It would be so simple, that im optimistic. Top tier assaults (General or whatever, when they get there) = Alliance Boss Fights. Once per day content, 5 to chose from. Bahamut 2-esque challenges. Money drops, new useful gear. Done.

It doesnt take much to make an NM worthy. Most top mages would be happy with something like a HMP ring.

They need to bring more challenging fights to the table and a LOT more accessible. The most exciting fights in the game are a fucking pain in the ass to get to. Bahamut v.2 needs a lot of fucking luck on rare ass drop from old content. lolAV took us over 6 months to pop because of lottery.

Bahamut v.2 is easy as hell to get to. Its not as easy to FOCUS on but if your ls does a healthy amount of the many evoker droppers you should have a decent amount of baha 2s.
