    Yovra farming

I understand that there are two Om'Yovra pops on south side of sea. Wiki lists there as being four total in Al'Taeiu. Are the other two somewhere in the north sides?

Also, I tried farming Yovra organs with a bunch of friends last night and we ended up going 0/4 from Ul's. In an effort to ACTUALLY get organs, how much of a difference is there between Ul and Om? We started out using a 4 BLM MB conbo off of darkness sleep-nuke strat on the first two pops and was cake. The other two times we used a normal PT strategy. Is there anything we should look out for on Om's that we wouldn't normally with Ul's?

I've always had more success duo/trio the Ul'yovra, and left the Om's alone. The fastest/easiest method for farming I've found is 3x blm, go all out and nuke + bounce them around till low on MP, then sleep2 and rest back mp, then finish them off. They are very weak to sleep, and the amount they regen back while you rest MP isn't a huge deal.

I've gone 0/2 on both pops, and they take a fairly long time to repop. Because of this, we usually just ran out and killed both, then went either afk till repop, killed other mobs for organs, or just split and came back another day.

Sorry, I don't the answers to the other questions...

The Om's are 100% drop and maybe 5 levels higher than the Ul. At least 1 Om spawns in each tele spot for limbus, and 3 (Ul) on the south.

Pretty sure it's 2 Om per limbus section, 2 Om per side in south, and 2 Ul (one on each side, south of where the Hpemdes and Aern go Om)

Melee trio/quadro Ul is easy. Rdm, mnk, mage, and maybe a second melee. Quadro Om is harder, pretty much need 2 mnk to deal TP-efficient damage.

    Repop time is 1 hour.

I thought south had 2 Ul'yovra and 3 Om'Yovra. Anyway, Ul'yovra can be duoed with mnk/nin + healer, or nin+blm, and can be trio'd by almost any setup with 2 melee + 1 healer.

You can kill Om'yovra easily with 5-6 people, but it's a little harder. However, because drop rate is much higher, it can be a good idea if you can make a good pt. My only recommandation if you fight om or ul is to find a tree to kite it around if people get charmed

My way of dealing with charm, is to save gravity for when I see it charge up luminous drape, since it is about 5 seconds from lumi drape > charm > people changing target to you. Once it's gravitied, it wont catch up, people wont catch up, and charm wears off fast so the melees can get hate back soon

That is a really good point I didn't think of. Thanks

We'll try Om's to at least see how much harder than are compared to Ul's. Thanks for the comments.

Fixed, and next time we fight ima wear those gaiters

The biggest difference between om and ul is that the oms regen much faster, and take noticeably less damage from melee due to higher def/eva. That leads to a much longer fight, which means more TP moves, which means more chances of fucking up.

You can just WoJ the Om'Yorvas if you want, saves a lot of time since they are 100% drop on one organ and like 25% for two, just need 2 blms and one form of refresh, and a puller. Pull to the wall D2 the puller after a blm claims, have one blm nuke teir IV to damage and one blm nuke teir III to midigate reigon while the first blm rests, if you happen to get two forms of refresh, just take turns doing all teir 4, but make sure you take turns so it dosen't get boared and deaggro, also the puller can not reenter south al'taliu until it is dead or it will go after him.

SORRY IF YOU HATE CHEATING, but this does work

rather than start a new thread, if i might slightly derail:

im in the process of leveling blm(66atm) and am wondering, since i need to get crackin on my obis, at what level, with af1 body, spider torque, and HQ staves, and capped skill can i start solo'ing/duoing the mobs in sea for my organs?

also, did SE announce in a recent patch that using terrain unintended for preventing mobs attacking you makes you susceptible to being banned? cuz otherwise, WoJ [yesprz]

Phuabo are T at 75, and killing them without thunder 4/blizzard 4 is going to be hard. Other mobs could probably be killed around 68-69, but I doubt it worth the effort

kk thanks, that's what i figured. there's a group of us who manaburn together regularly, and all but one have sea, so i imagine we'll all just truck out there for a couple nights and see what we can come up with.

thanks for the quick and helpful reply

Another strategy for dealing with charm that I like to use is have somebody stay out from under the apron and just throw in a voke or flash (needs to be someone who can tank/kite the Yorva) every so often to build up hate. Then when Charmga goes off this ouside tank won't be charmed by will have hate built up, hopefully that the next enmity move will get them to the top of the enmity list so they can tank. Have whatever tank was under the apron stay outside and do the same thing until the next charmga goes off, tag-team, rinse and repeat.

or you can bring 3 blm's and a rdm and just manaburn it with ease

WoJ is against ToS, use at your own risk.

You can start to solo the mobs in sea as soon as you get Stone4 (hpemdes) but it's really not worth the effort. I did a few K there at 68 while bored, but it took me way longer than joining even a shitty party.

Yovra's count as NM's right? I remember when I tried manaburning them that at around 40ish% it started resisting Sleep and it was pretty hard to push it down when u needed to kite it. After a while Grav and Bind were starting to resist too basicly making it impossible for us non-gaiter blms

For added fun go and hold an aw'euhvi (card flower) for 30 or 60 minutes waiting for people to enter Al'Taieu. HULK FLOWER SMASH~ RAWR!!~
