ToAU worst thing to happen...

So last night I had a 65-67 Party on Birds in the Thickets and we were doing great but the exp was dropping with people leveling. So I say "Hey I havent been to Bikibi Bay in awhile lets try there." 4 People in my party had no idea where that was for one. But we still went.

Party is WAR(me) NIN BLU SMN BLM RDM

So we get to the camp with the birds and dhamels and we start pulling.. The RDM doesnt know how to enfeeblem, the BLM starts nuking at 90%, and the SMN only uses Eclipse Bite. This is what they were used to because ToAU mobs die so easy and take no common sense or skill to kill. The NIN gets cold stared and the SMN just sits there while she is getting hammered by the Dhamel with Whistle on the whole fight (Agi Boost) The RDM cures and the NIN has to use echo drops which he wouldnt need to with pre ToAU players. Then we pull a BLM gob and the RDM never silenced it til I said so. No barfira and the BLM gets hate evry single fight by nuking way to early. I could go on and on about this.

Point being is this is the 2nd time I have gone to a pre ToAU zone and the people on their first 75 jobs act like a fish out of water. They do fine in new zones because its so easy to gimp buy with retards as mages because the mobs die so fast. Just venting really but ToAU is not a good place to build skilled players and the "generations" get worse every time.

I miss the old days.

2. rdm sounds about right, almost all rdm's are retards in pickup pt's.

I've been leveling WAR too now, and Red Mages do suck for the most part. Gotta love it when they melee :D. Last night had to be the best though. PLD asked if I want to voke first until shadows go down...Than asks if I'm a DD WAR...I used my warp club and left Levi behind ;3

I formed a PT the other day. Was 2xSAM(1 Me) 2xNIN BLU/WHM(main heal) RDM.

Mire had bout 9 parties in it. So I said Bibiki Bay ok?

Was a pretty fresh PT, and a nice change of pace. Grant it, wasen't getting 15k an hour, but I was happy with 8-9k.

It sucks that bad parties can get good XP in ToAU zones. But then again, good parties can get phenomenal XP in ToAU zones.

The only difference is that the morons will get to 75 slightly faster. The stuff that you described in Bibiki Bay is no different than the stuff that has been going on in the game forever and why I weep tears of blood when I join pick up parties. You can take the noob out of Qufim, but you will never take the Qufim out of the noob.

With the Astral Candescence gone the last two days. It was amusing seeing how many people were willing to go to old exp locations instead of the over-crowded ToAU areas since there was no exp/bonus sanction. lol


But yeah, I've noticed that the quality of players has thinned out a bit lately since ToAU. Even some of the DD. I had to teach a THF how to seperate SA and TA for Skillchaining since he has assassin. lol

Nah didnt need to SATA off of NIN put I pulled hate 70% of the time with mistral axe so why not go for the extra DMG.. if the THF wasnt pampered like Eddie is prolly right about. And Bay was a nice change of pace I dont mind fighting a mob for 5 minutes and 5k an hour im in no rush as long as I am having fun and can savor the job. I dont think that sounds elitest.
