"HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Anna Nicole Smith, the former Playboy model and reality television star, collapsed in her hotel room in Florida, was rushed to a hospital and has died, various media reported.

Smith, 39, was found unconscious in her hotel room at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Fla., according to CNN and CBS television reports.

CNN reported that Smith had collapsed at a casino and CPR was performed at the scene."

Anna Nicole Smith has died, this according to her attorney Ron Rail.

Smith collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida and died at a local hospital hours later..

According to hotel officials, Smith was "unresponsive" and emergency responders performed CPR at the scene and a breathing apparatus was inserted in her throat. Anna was immediately transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood just after 2:00 PM EST.

WFOR-TV in Miami reports that Anna was found unresponsive in her hotel room. Local streets were closed off to rush Smith to the hospital, three miles away. Paramedics were seen pumping her chest as she was taken from the hotel.

Anna had been hospitalized for a week last November with pneumonia. Daughter Dannielynn, subject of an ongoing DNA test battle, was born on September 7. Her son Daniel died of a drug overdose on September 10. People magazine is reporting that Dannielynn is in the Bahamas.

Anna frequented the Hard Rock. Just a month ago, a playful Anna was caught showing off new body art to Hulk Hogan during a boxing match.

My bet is on stress. Stress from massive weight loss, death of her son, new baby, probably a horrendous diet coupled with drinking and maybe some drugs. That woman had nothing but stressful (mostly self-induced) situations surrounding her for years. Her life was all kindsa fucked up.

Well she's been the public butt of jokes for years, not the least being she married someone worth a shitload who died not long afterwards. Public reaction will likely be muted due to the "Gold Digger" label she has. I do feel bad because all the money and fame she had, it was all tainted. Had she gotten her ass out of the public spotlight sooner, she might not ended up like this.

The only court case she had (that was really important...) was the mandatory paternity testing of her daughter Danny Lynne. She kept putting it off for whatever reason.

That baby now has to live without a mother, without a brother, and with two people fighting over her to become to the dad, only to probably inherit whatever money Anna left to her.

Jesus Christ, this is terrible.
