Anyone catch this tonight? I was in a rage of fury that Studio 60 was axed, so I decided to see how good the show was going to replace it and... it's actually pretty good. Reminds me of The Departed actually, heh.

Tonight's episode was good, looks like it's going to be a promising series. And the girl is REALLY fucking hot. GAH:LKJ:LGKJ.

I'm wondering if the whole show is gonna be narrated as a story that Joey Icecream tells to the cops.

Also it makes me think of Sleepers, which is an awesome movie. The plot is completely different, but its 4 friends (instead of brothers) and a 5th female friend in Hell's Kitchen.

Bleh...if they reshow it maybe I'll watch. I'm a little hesitant on the whole "I'm Irish and I'm close with my brothers theme." It seems overdone to me.

I might pick up watching Black Donnellys if it stays going; it just pisses me off endlessly when a new series get axed after a few episodes.

If you like this show you should catch "Four Brothers", it's like these kids, but grown up and adopted. . .

All the commercials during Heroes annoyed me, so I turned off the tv out of spite.

I watched it and thought it was pretty good, I like joey ice cream's narration but not really sure if they could keep that up for an entire series unless he changes who he is telling the story to? Would love if they could find a way to keep him narrating the whole series, his way of trying to make himself sound good would be a good addition of light humor to the show I think.

Also, there is an encore of it on thursday I believe for those who missed it and don't want to watch on NBC.com.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Clearly the cops are already frustrated with him. The end was hilarious. But his storytelling is really entertaining.

Yep. As long as the show is written well/acted well, it doesn't' really matter what it's about. Take Heroes for example. With the surge of superhero movies in the last 5 years and Smallville/etc being on TV, you'd think ANOTHER superhero-power type theme would bomb right? No, quite the opposite.

Why they cancel Studio 60?

It was a great show

Seriously now I know why all these televison channels bitch/moan/complain they aren't getting that many viewers like they used to in the 90's, they keep canceling shows left and right

Studio 60, Daybreak (Cool Premise), The Nine (Was Ok) all just keep get axed just cause they can't get that 10-20+ million viewership #

Unless a show is truly making the network go in the Red, why cancel it so quickly

The Black Donnellys looks ok, nice start to the show, but how long can the show last with the premise of a brother protecting his other brothers from harm, while taking over as the don of his neighberhood

If the show gets cancelled with-in 6 weeks I wouldn't be suprised.

Reality TV (shows) are way Hella-cheap to produce, and sponsors/advertisement gets a good pricing on those shows

Who is ready for Deal or No Deal 5 Nights a week, or 1 vs 100, or w/e the fuck they come up with next

They cancelled S60 because of the ratings. It's ironic that the last show to air was about ratings, too (of their show IN the show). =P Episode's name was 4AM Miracle, and ended on a note that I could see could end the series (left a few ends loose, but a decent wrap-up if they never air the rest of the season).
