Benediction

Sorry for all the random questions lately but I'm wondering about stuff. One of the things I love about this forum is everyones love of numbers and so I have a good one.

Apparently bene isn't 100% heal and is based on numerous stuff. Cool. My question is how much hp will it heal if both the whm and target are 75. How much does mnd modify this? The few posters on that site said they werent too sure about their equations so I'm not sure how much to trust it.


And this is just one of those random things I'm wondering about. ;3

I was pretty sure it was already known that a level 1 WHM's Benediction doesn't heal higher level characters 100%, and that Benediction healed HP on a calculation based on the user's Level that hadn't been discovered yet (mostly because in a normal situation, Benediction would heal to full).

Edit: It could probably be tested with a level 1 WHM (mule character would work). Level it a few times, test Benediction each time.

Okay, uh, I think they missed the most obvious possible explanation.

Level 1 WHM on level 68 = 14 hp = exactly 1/68 of level 68's HP
Level 2 WHM = 28 hp = 2/68
Level 38 WHM = 546 = 38/68

It all fits together. Look at the data, lol.

Benediction's HP% healed = (User's Level) / (Target's Level) ...?

Examples:
75/75 = 100%
50/75 = 66%
10/75 = 13%
1/75 = 1%

That's what it looks like to me. I can see level 1 and 2 being a coincidence, but having a level 38 on a 68 match up exactly to the pattern seems to confirm it.

Nobody probably notices because if your group is anywhere near the same level, you'd have to be staring death in the face to come out with less than full HP. And bene seems to always heal the WHM itself full. I'm just amused by the (1.78374x + 7.397 + moon phase) / (Tiamat's level) kinda formulas I saw in that thread (not) Kuno posted.

Because the WHM's level / WHM's level = 100%. I guess the easiest way to prove it, if it even still needs proving, is to get a party of different levelled RDMs and have them blow their MP down to 1, then Convert. Then have the WHM of some odd level Benediction and compare how much each RDM gets healed.

so I wonder if a 75 whm bene's a 30 job if the 30 job will have like 1.5k hp!!1
