formating - saving update data/macros/filters etc

Is it possible to save this data on another drive and then put it back after you do a fresh install? and if so what directories and files do i need to keep?

You have to save the whole \Playonline directory to save the patch and everything, do a full install and then copy the directory over, and do a Check files.


Or if you just want so save macros, just copy the userdir

so the entire squareEnix folder needs to get saved?

just the user directory. That would save your macros for your characters.

If you want to NOT have the massive update, you have to save the entire Playonline directory. However, I've had problems with this approach in the past, so I just save my User directory to not have to rescript my macros
