Swap Magic help

Kinda continued from the KH2 FM thread, made into a new topic to stop the derailing

My Swap Magic is running DVD games just fine, no problem with that, but I'm having problem playing PSX CDs. Yes, I am using the CD boot CD, not the DVD one.

Here's the run down on what happens:

Boot CD runs, it looks to be in perfect condition, it runs until it's supposed to stop spinning and stops.

Now, I swap in my PSX CD (tried both real games and burned, neither worked, however my ps2 DOES READ regular games w/o going through swap) and hit X to continue.

PSX cd starts spinning, then it shows the ps2 browser screen that shows memory cards, and it says "Reading Disk..."

Like 15 seconds later, I get a screen saying Please insert a Playstation or Playstation2 CD (something along those lines) and the CD keeps spinning.

Hmmm, which version of SM you have? Try to run a PS2 CD game and see if it works with the method you are using.

I'm thinking you got it confused, since SM comes with two discs (dvd's and cd's). However, the cd is meant for PS2 games, not PSX. At least my version (3.6) doesn't play PSX games.

That's what I said, but apparently he tried that already.

I'm still going with the theory that his CD is just messed up... just ask for a replacement and send them the one you have..

wtf it doesn't play psx games? ; ; I feel ripped off now

(never heard of ps2 cds <.<)

Thank god my PSX is chipped, although it's kinda old... oh well, it still gets the job done.
