    Cmos editor

    I'm looking for a program that will change the picture from gateway to a custom picture... My teacher was talking about this in A+ os but he didn't remember what it was called.

    some bios will let you turn it off....

    others wont....

    what processor do you have? intel or amd? either company /may/ have a utlity that will allow you to edit that splash screen (the same one dell uses...) you will have to search their sites for it, and it will probably be hidden in some devoloper page, but that should hopefully point you in the right direction

    The picture is usually embedded in the BIOS/CMOS, so it's a tricky process to change it. Some motherboard or BIOS provide tools to companies like Gateway, Dell and such, to customize PC BIOSes the way they want...your best bet is to check your motherboard or BIOS company website, and look for that kind of tools.
