Thought this was a topic about American Gladiator.
youve been in oklahoma too long
Oklahoma owns you.
Ugh, am I the only one who thought this looked terrible?
It looks really good.
But what I really wanna know is the name of the song in the trailer.
Denzel Washington and Russle Crowe?
2 hours of those two staring intensely into the camera then yelling something in extremely accentuated syllables? No thanks.
jay z - heart of the cityBut what I really wanna know is the name of the song in the trailer.

That's the worst movie of the year.
Ehh everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I highly doubt this will be the stupidest movie of the year. Sure it's no The Departed, Goodfellas, ect.. but I think it will be decent movie and worth watching at the movies for me atleast.Originally Posted by Killgannon

Worst part about this movie is Crowe and Denzel.
Neither of them scream "American Gangster" to me.
More like random ass combo of actors.
American Gangster is fucking Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro. Not those 2. I love Denzel and he is great, but he is not this movie.
disclaimer: I did not watch the trailer so maybe I am way off on the theme of this movie.
Crowe plays a cop and Washington can definitely pull off gangster, did you see him in Training Day?Originally Posted by Po
Just because De Niro and co. made the staple gangster films doesn't mean theirs is the only take on the genre. And there's not much that's American about them either. Their behavior and culture was purely of Italian immigrants, they were about running things like the 'old country' (paraphrasing Goodfellas there).
The 'American' dream of rising up from the bottom of society is much more relatable to black people.
ok then. Yes he was excellent in Training Day.
Is he that kind of a gangster then? More of like a gang banger? (not in the perverted sense)
I think the Italian mobster take on gangster movies is much more compelling than life in the hood in fucking LA. (generalizing)
