Hold out for Cursed Cuisses -1? Or buy the NQ to use the abjuration on? I tried to hold out for my Zenith Mitts, but after about 40synths, I gave in and purchased the NQ, when I realized HQ'ing it was a near impossible feet. Any opinions as to if I should bust out the wait and be patient for HQ?

Oh, and if it helps, i'd be primarily using them on RDM, my PLD is slowly coming up there but won't be 70+ any time soon.

The HQ for these isn't nearly as hard to come by as zmitts +1.

An alchemist friend of mine can HQ these almost at will (lucky bastard). I'd just start gathering materials and find a friendly alchemist to spam the synth for you. My friend has something like a 30% HQ rate, fwiw.

kk, I tried something similar for Crimson Fng. Gauntlets, i farmed 12 dragon bloods, and let my friend (100 Alch+3) go at it, and he NQ'd 12 right in front of me >.> so I got the NQ. Zenith Mitts, I farmed/bought Siren's Hair from different ppl/lsfunds and NQ'd like 40pairs, gave up, lol. I'm hoping I can get the Cuisses...

I'm debating trying again for Fng.Gaunts, as I've heard they're not hard to HQ, and I could go get the Abj again >.> . Something like W.Legs I don't feel like having to get again though...so I'd like a 1 time deal, lol.

Crimson hands are worth holding out for HQ, I wish I didn't uncurse mine on NQ since HQ hands have higher drk skill which I'd love for my RDM, oh well, too late now

I think it's worth getting the HQ version if you like that kind of thing because of the rarity and desirability of the abjuration compared to how relatively easy it is to HQ. I got blood cuisses (LS member made them on the 3rd synth of of 6 :D) because I figure I hope one day to be rich in game again and when I do I'll wish I had whitebox everything but I don't intend to lot a vanity abjuration over someone who doesn't have w. legs, even if I could. On the other side of the coin, when I got a. hands a few years ago I just got the NQ and just picked up a trash abj from Fafnir less than 2 months later that still sits in my storage lol

Pretty much what I was thinking. It's just for looking, the HQ stats aren't that impressive. IMO, it's not worth it. ( it won't be very good for my sales as an Alchemist lol )

while i wouldn't call A hands QUITE dime a dozen, they're surely not a challenge to come across. if you need another, you can probably get one for HQ hands. on the other hand, that w legs you have will be the ONLY one you'll ever get, most likely. if you want an HQ w legs at any time in your ffxi career, now is your only chance at them. HQ rate on them isn't that bad. since the synth caps at 92, a 100+ alchemy friend should be able to easily break tier 1 on them (lower friends could too, but i figure more skill can't hurt.) resulting in about 1/10 synths HQing. on my server, HQs are fairly available for sale.

now i know some people out there will say that they're not worth HQing because there's not much of a stat boost. you don't get w legs for the mp or the resists, true, but damn, man. you're toting around a pair of crimson legs! you busted your balls to get a hold of a pair, wear them with pride and a white border!

HQ crimson outside of the HQ hands for rdm's bio II, are pretty wasteful, your gil though, not mine.
