CS 1.6 -_-

Jesus fucking christ. I've never had these problems with steam before until I reinstalled it a month ago. I've been having this problem for a month now..whenever I try to connect to a CS server IT WILL NOT FUCKING LOAD the entire thing locks up and I have to sit here control+alt+delete and "End Task" 24+ fucking times to get it to go back to the desktop. It will always stay on the "Parsing server info..." and it stays that way. If I went out and bought lolsource would it do the same? Or am I stuck playing HL2 DM and mods? Would reinstalling CS help?

Verify integrity of game cache
1. Load Steam
2. From the My Games tab, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
4. Steam will verify the game cache files (GCF's) - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
