Computer Troubles

I was removing junk from my computer and deleted something I shouldn't have apparently. Now my computer has sound but if I put in any earphones sound will still come out of the built in computer speakers. Anybody have any idea what could be wrong or how to fix it?

Restore it back a day or so before deleting the stuff (it's accessed in safe mode)? And this will get dumped in technical questionz ;o

Yes, I was just about to edit my post to ask it be moved over there. First time visiting this site in months didn't even realize there was a section for it.

edit: I tinkered around for a bit and managed to figure it out. Feel free to move this or delete the thread entirely.
