XP install locking up

I just built a new pc, and every time i go to install XP (from 2 different disks, one legit, one not), it locks up with 33 minutes remaining. I've left it on overnight and the little loady bar on the bottom goes away. Halp!

Edit: some googling shows that locking up @ 33mins means it hangs when it tries to detect hardware. I'm using an 8800gtx and it seems the problem occurs when you have 128mb+ of gddr3 on your video card. To remove the card for a different one would require dismantling my computer. Is that the only way?

im a freaking moron, i thought the regional thing was just another display of windows features, not something i had to input manually. -______- issue solved

just take the video card out and install windows and then put it back in and download drivers. it's quite simple.

I'd usually laugh at you, but you have no idea how many times I've done this as well.
