Are these worth dual-weilding? +15% cure.., yay/nay?

If you're subbing /NIN, I don't see why not. Templar Mace + Raise II rod is also a very nice combo for fights where you can't afford to spend the mp or time casting Raise on people.
I'm thinking like in Dynamis when you're pretty much just casting cures left and right...
i dont cast cures that often in dynamis. Maybe as /NIN you could help kite statues![]()
whm/blm for dynamis
If you're /nin it is worth using, get a r2 rod as well as stated earlier, but you shouldn't sub nin to use templar+asklepios, you sub nin for shadows so you don't die. Think I use /nin on baha2, ultima, and dynamis xarc.
At the risk of sounding arrogant, if you're subbing ninja to city dynamae you have bigger problems than what off-hand weapon to equip.
This seems like the correct answer.Originally Posted by Dammerung

Stack MP when using it. MND lost is easily gained back with the +5% from Asklepios. And I would use AF2 head or W.Turban (I wouldn't use one for anything but /NIN) for MP. And um, some other shit.
I personally don't see it worth using /nin even with this combo in most general instances.
You lose the conserve mp from /blm sub or the auto-refresh from /smn. When /nin, I've always noticed the difference ._.
I use this combo all the time subbing NIN, it can just as efficient as /BLM or /SMN or w/e according to the situation if you adjust your play style to fit. My favorite SJ for most situations is NIN, it's all about what you're comfortable with and what's the situation, but that's another discussion. Back to the point, Templar, Eggbeater(Asklepios), Aristocrat's, and Medecine Ring combine to make for some pretty awesome numbers.
I tried it shortly after Templar Mace came out in dynamis for the hell of it. It's fun to be able to pop out some big cures but overall, MP efficiency is hurt substantially compared to /SMN or /BLM.
Unless you're actully try to solo or tank/cotank, the only time that shadows are really needed are if you pull hate and that's usually not going to happen to WHM until most others are dead at which point you will likely die too.
Basically, I think it's more something to play around with. I don't like it for full time use due to fact that you end up going through MP much faster (no Conserve MP or Auto-Refresh).
As has been said, it's little more than a toy, unless you have specific reasons to want to go /NIN. Sacrificing the usefulness of other subs isn't even close to being worth it for 5% cure potency.
It has its uses from what ive seen. B2 being one, Ultima being the other that i have seen pulled off effectively.
I would regularly go whm/nin to city dynamis, Omega, and Ultima. I would also be responsible for curing the tanks too. I never had an Asklepios though, I would just use Templar/Numinous +1.
For me, the survivability of subbing ninja in the instances where hate could be sketchy far outweighed the unreliability of Conserve MP.
But no, if you are ever in a situation where you are subbing ninja to ensure your longevity you probably shouldn't be dual-wielding anything, even if it gives you 5% more cure potency. Use a shield.
also, if you're getting knocked around so much that /nin is essential, a genbu's shield in the off slot can help mitigate damage w/o cutting into your cure potency weilding a templar mace.
/NIN is only good for small man (2-4), BahaV2, Kirin and small man kited mobs.
/BLM for farming and small events for escape and warp and shit
/SMN for xp and MP sponge events
/DRK whenever I can for major events that are small manned.
There are situations where /blm Conserve Mp is better then /smn auto-refresh. Though in most situations auto-refresh from /smn wins. That said; I highly doubt 5% more cure potency and smaller mp pool is more efficient then /blm or /smn benefits.
/smn : fafnir
/blm : 90% of the events
/nin : skillup in Kuftal Tunnel. heh.
/smn > /blm
