    Help with Side-Attacking monsters

I train a Wivre, and he holds up very well against enemy attacks, with just one glaring flaw- if an enemy moves to his side during a WS, he will not turn to face it, and will take a savage beating. Is there any possible way to order him to turn or run? I've tried using the "Back off a bit!" command, but nothing happens. He is Very Wild and Extremely Defensive, if that changes anything.

Wild wivres attack from wherever you are, dragon style, without turning around. Sounds like something's wrong with pankration rather than the wivre.

Do Pankration dragons behave the same?

then it's working as intended; the thing is, pankration has a couple quirks in its battle system, not the least of which is that attacks from the side or, even worse, the back do largely increased amounts of damage.

and yes, dragons don't turn to face

maybe one of the commands can trigger the Clobber(spike-fhail like moves) instead of moving; also can u get your wivre to use Granite Hide(haven't seen any use it yet) or boiling blood(got him to do twice not sure how) I can get him to use other 2 tp moves fine.

Never take TP moves for granite.

Thats just a fact of the battle system with really really big mobs. You may have really high hp, and high defense, but if a mob gets on your side, you're about to take a beating ;p

It'll probably get better when you learn Boiling Blood.

It's been my experience that berserk effects in the Pit tend to hurt more than help. I've seen a number of fights where one combatant was winning, until it used a berserk move; lowering your defense in a one on one physical fight is never good, and doing it to yourself is even worse. Not only are you wasting TP that could have been put to a better use, but you're just standing there taking hits the whole time you are doing the move. Just doing the move is likely to trigger your attacker to move to the side if they know what they are doing, thus setting yourself up for massive pain.

I think the poster was stating that Boiling Blood would quicken the fight.

Boiling Blood has a massive haste on it too, unless I'm thinkin of the wrong move, so it would probably just help you kill before dying.

well today when I vs mob same lvl as me; they went to my side my wivre did something different he used a move called "Crippling Slam"(I just got lvl28 so maybe learned it) it AoE looking move with it's tail and knockback on mob did good dmg too and the mob just stayed at my front after so maybe moves like this how they deal with it?
