I know this isnt standard practice but I'm writing a brief statement of my interactions with Scobill over the past week or two. Scobill knew when he applied to OD that we were not currently recruiting however we would gladly keep his application on file for the future and decided to apply anyways. As per our regular routine we ran this background check and I got to know him a bit through chatting with him on his Odin mule and the application thread on our forums. I must say he seems to be a down to earth, dedicated player, knowledgable about his jobs, and really into the finer points of the game, not just attacking and then watching tv . As I mentioned our recruitment is closed so there is no offering of trials but I double checked anyways with leadership to see if there was a spot and it was decided that if you bend the rule once, you'll be asked to do it again, and again, and again etc. So I informed Scobill of this and he replied with a very professional and courteous PM saying he understood, he knew we were not recruiting etc, and thanking us for the chance to apply. So if/when he applies to other LS's on Odin feel free to drop me a /tell or use this post as a reference. If we were recruiting we would have offered him a trial he seems like a great guy and most likely a skilled player. I have a feeling he'll make an excellent addition to most LS's. I would still consider offering him a trial in the future but I have a feeling he'll be a dedicated member of a new shell before we actively open recruitment again .
