    Expansions for those outside US

Well well! The expansion is right around the corner and I've decided to do this again!

The exp will cost $30 so if you want me to buy it for you, it will cost $35. This covers the game, sales tax and paypal charges.

Also please note that like last year, I can't ship the game disc out. I'll dump the DVD in an FTP and give access so you can download/burn. You'll get the registration codes and all that stuff in an email/PM.

Those interested post here/send me a PM

    Something of note for you:

    viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24201&p=741204#p741204

EDIT: also, can you buy codes directly from POL now?

I did not read that. I don't see why there should be a problem doing this considering I did it last time with great success.

Are they going to sell CD key on their site from the start? I would expect them to wait a bit to sell more game (unless it's the same price)

Yeah, I'm wondering that too. If they sell the codes online, I think I'll buy the registration code online, and then go pick up an EU copy of the game and play on the EU version instead of NA version. That way I'll only need the NA PlayOnline, and not the whole NA game

There is no NA game, everyone has every language installed. It only matters what version of pol you login with.

Hince why to get jp language game you only have to dl jp pol, and dont have to reinstall XI at all.

EU can dl NA disc and still login with EU pol and be in the EU game.

The only difference between the disc is prolly the language the installer is in.

no idea if they are going to offer keys online. If they do then that imo would be great. Someone should ask that in one of those interviews.

No, there is a pretty obvious difference.

I originally bought the NA game. Which means I can't register EU codes on my NA account. That means I need to buy the NA version of the expansion, otherwise I am unable to register them.

Hence why threads like this exist.

So yes, there is a NA, EU and JP version of the game. And that's why I said it would be easier to just be able to buy the registration code online, and then buy the EU game and play on that one, thus only needing the NA PlayOnline viewer to register the codes.

I never said you didnt need to buy that version of the game, I said you dont need a JP Version ISO to install it.

You only need the JP/EU/US PlayOnline client, which is freely and easily downloadable from the PlayOnline website by everyone.

Only 1 ISO needs to be shared on the internet.

Yes, I know. I just said that I'd probably prefer to buy the code online and then buy the EU version of the game, i ncase they release them, since I'd still like to have the box itself instead of a CD copy of it just lying around

My reply was saying you misinterpreted my post, and that i wasnt saying theres only 1 actual version of expansion

I was trying to say the actual game disc contents is the same.

I'm interested if SE does not offer direct payment via PO in exchange for registration codes. I will probably need ~3 copies of the game or so, so I hope there are enough copies where you shop.

Should I send you a PM or will you get back to me if I simply posted here?

Re: Expansions for those outside US

I'm a European player on an EU POL version, residing in USA, and I'm trying to think of the fastest way to get the expansion once it's released. If I am to purchase it online, not only would I have to wait the additional few days between NA and EU release (ToAU had four days between NA and EU release, and it SUCKED sitting alone in Xarcabard, farming hickory lumber, while literally everyone else in my shell was off exploring the new areas), but I would also have to wait an ADDITIONAL four days-two weeks (depending on the store) for the EU version to ship to my current location in PA.

Now, I'll easily be able to download a version of the expansion disc, through BG, through torrents, whatnot, and if I have understood it correctly, I can do this and install it, and have it be compatible with the EU POL Viewer? I just need EU registration codes?

What I had in mind was downloading the expansion and installing it, and have a friend pick me up an EU store copy, open it, tell me the codes so I can register it and then ship it to me OR see if there's any place I could buy a code online. Would this work?

You can install the NA version of the expansion if you already have the EU game installed, I just believe you will have to change some registry entries in order to allowed PO to check that you have the expansion installed.

I will extend the service of this thread if anyone with an EU account residing elsewhere needs an EU registration code for their account. I will put the EU version of the disc up on my server aswell if FANetworks doesn't do it quicker.

Do you happen to know which registry entries need to be changed?

    JP POL: HKLM\Software\PlayOnline
    NA POL: HKLM\Software\PlayOnlineUS
    EU POL: HKLM\Software\PlayOnlineEU

Everything else is 100% similar for each version. You can just export your PlayOnlineXX registry key into a .reg file, edit the path and then merge it with the registry.

But as someone pointed out, you might not be able to use EU expansion reg codes with a NA POL base account or the other way around. I can't tell since I've never tried doing it but rather imported or bugged people in the USA to buy me some reg. codes.

That doesn't tell me a whole lot <.< I don't usually mess around with registry entries. I guess I'll just download NA version, that solves me the troubles of messing with it.

Anyway, sign me up for a copy Zigma. I don't feel like waiting 2 weeks for it to be shipped to Sweden like last time ~.~
