Corrupt FFXI Account?

Hey guys, been looking everywhere for a similar topic all over before posting this because I know I cant be the only one this has ever happened to but....

I've been playing since release day and took a year off for the whole WoW thing, and finally came back this last month. Figured my Content ID's and characters would be gone but there still were. This was all great until I logged on and saw almost all my jobs were reset to LVL1 except the job combo I left it set to. Rank, Money and items looked ok at the moment. Also I was in the middle of unlocking DRG before I quit and came back to the point where I needed to go to MoS and mine up the dragon egg, for the love of god I've gone thru 34 axes and 40 giant Femurs and S. Claws without an Egg. It's not in my key items, and backtracking none of the NPCS say anything new.

I'm just wondering what else could be wrong in the future, If the Character may be so hosed up that I need to recreate...ehh... any ideas?

Cruel joke? Someone got a hold of your account, moved items/money to mule, delete your character, then remade it with the same name, then muled items/money back?

eh there's no way it was any kind of hacking if the jobs are reset to lv1. you can't lose exp below lv3 or 4 i forget which

Yes, without a doubt I know I wasnt hacked. So lets keep this off the table ~ I guess no ones ever seen this problem before

I would contact square, let them know about it, they could restore you to an older backup, you might lose a little bit but you can get your jobs leveled back

i remember a person i knew that was a high lvl alchemist, logged on one day to find it at 0, even though they had a signed hawkers+1 to prove they had alchemy, SE wouldnt do anything
now granted the account had been sold to the current owner.. so maybe they deserved it, still idk what happened

Didn't SE have a note somewhere stating an account's deactivated contents will not be held accountable to any damages past 4 months of gathering dust?

If you have spells/merits in jobs that are now 1 square might be able to do something. You can't delevel below 3 but I'm not sure square uses any logic at all. Also if your 2 jobs not 1 are both advanced, you can argue it's impossible to have the advanced jobs unlocked with all the starting ones at 1.

As for the "Look I have this thing signed by me, I have that craft" argument, it's easy to change names or get an item from another server with your name to make something. Now if you had all the GP items + a guild contract with a 0 craft then that's different.

well I tried to unlock NIN tonight... hilarious.. me and a friend went and killed the 3 Leeches but no Coral afterwards.. No Key item... I call a GM and he says I dont have RoZ Registered...
I'm sitting in a RoZ Expansion area, I have SAM already unlocked and in the middle of the 2 other jobs quests. He has absolutely no clue... on his end when he pulls up my profile it says i have FFXI, CoP and WoTG... but no RoZ.

on the Expanded Content area I tried to repurchase RoZ or reenter my reg code but it says its already registered and active >_>;;;

There was another users (not on here) To claim to have had a "corrupted account" which was proven that accounts can't get corrupted, because all accounts are stored on one database, if one account gets corrupted, chances are, database is screwed up and it will effect everyone (work with PHP forums and you'll understand.) and there will be 198297121082016397590 posts about how "omg my account is corrupted!"

So if indeed it is corrupted, contact SE..not a GM, GMs don't handle account related issues, only issues related to in-game.

My newest account was made in 2005, RoZ was registered in 2005, on the Ingame POL site it states this. I cannot purchase RoZ because POL Says its already bought and registered.
When i load FFXI "Rise Of Zilart" is highlighted indicating its active. I can go to all RoZ Expansion areas ingame, which.. If I didnt have RoZ I wouldnt be able to. I unlocked SAM before I cancelled ~ Which I can still access to this day and play, I *WAS* in the process of unlocking NIN and DRG while I quit and went on a 1 year break ~

Now.... Both RARE/EX Items needed to progress in unlocking these jobs wont appear after reactivating... Killing the 3 leeches and touching the ??? = Nothing....
Burning up 48 mining picks in Maze of Shak = I made a ton of money in Stones, Femurs, and Scorpion items.. I'm pretty sure if I tried progressing in the RoZ mission/storyline that would fail too but i'm already bummed out at being locked at of ever opening up these 2 job classes.


What I really wanna know is... Why does the GM say my FFXI profile says RoZ doesnt exist, but POL says RoZ does exist >_> I sure hope to god that SE is open this monday ;x

They almost certainly won't be open Monday...odds are that you'll have to wait until Wednesday, sorry. (worth giving them a call though in the morning of whatever time zone their call center is located since they *may* work a half day or something)

Looks like their call center holiday hours on their website don't list them as closed on Monday, just on Tuesday, the 31st, and 1st.

I would definitely try calling them Monday. I've never heard of this happening before either but it's worth a shot! And keep pressing for higher ups if the person you get says he/she can't help. =o

If the person you get does not understand your issue. Accept that, don't get angry with them. Just end the call and try again in 5 minutes. Lots of times it's all a mater of getting the right person on the phone.

Actually, yes you can progress story line wise with RoZ, I went to Norg and you got the first RoZ CS.

You would think that until i was able to obtain the NIN Quest and progress it until i had to pick up the Coral then BAM dead end, no RARE drop because RoZ is screwed.
