anyone play this game that could give me some reviews. i'm at work so was only able to do a quick scan at 1up.com which gave it an 8, but half the time i think there review scores start at 6.5 unless the game is a real winner of a turd.

Watched my friend play most of it. Nothing revolutionary, rehashed the battle system from 4 (didn't really like it), and is basically something to kill time if you're looking for an RPG.

I loved the game. One of my favorite RPG's this year... really after Persona 3 & Ar Tonelico it's the only one I fully enjoy. It's not hard, it's not great but it's fun. The battle system is simple to learn and abuse but it's a great game to just shut off your brain and play. Which is why I enjoyed it. I didn't need to think... I... I... just wish there was a way to disable Carol's voice acting... The director admitted he tried to make it the most annoying voice possible...

It takes around 30~40 hours to beat and there is a ton of endgame content if you choose to do it.

Honestly, if you go into the game just wanting an fun RPG you can sit down and play for a while. It's a great game. If you want a hard RPG with a fantastic story... this is not the game for you. I may have just enjoyed it because I was incredibly stressed out at work and it was a fun game for me to come home and play.. or I could have truely enjoyed it I don't know. The reviews are right.. it's a 7. But, I sure felt it was worth the 39.99 I paid for it the day it came out.

In actuality now that I think about it. As long as you don't touch the bonus dungeons the game is actually pretty hard at certain points just due to the sheer cheapness of some of the later bosses.

I hear that. When you had to fight the 4 TF Tower bosses I made the mistake of going to the hardest one first (Won't use names for spoiler reasons). I personally loved WA5 but it was mostly because I was a huge fan of all the others. All the cameo appearences made me giddy and I just thought it was fun as hell to play. That's coming from a fanboy though so I don't know how it racks up to someone picking it up for the first time.

The only one I really had trouble with was the Masked one... (not mentioning names...)... honestly, even saying the name wouldn't be a real spoiler since they are mentioned in the manual -.-p more or less.

omg, the voice actor for carol is the same person who did Beat in Eternal Sonata lol... I fucking HATE THAT VOICCCCE. >.<
