    Network connections error 623

    "Cannot load dialog.

Error 623: The System Could Not Find the Phone Book Entry for This Connection"

This pops up every time I try to load a webpage, or do anything involving a net connection, and I have to click OK every time it pops up for the page to load.

This is what Microsoft says: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320693

But it's Greek to me, I'm using wireless right now ;/ The checkbox they refer to is nowhere in the Properties box for either of the 2 broadband connections I have registered.

It's been happening the last few days ever since I was at my parents' house, who have a broadband modem which requires you to install software first. How can I stop this popup coming up?

What it sounds like, and what that microsoft article is kind of saying, is that you're using a broadband connection but still have "use a dial-up connection" checked somewhere. Open internet explorer, open the Tools menu, click Internet Options, click the connections tab, and select "Never Dial a Connection" and see if that helps.

Thanks (*'-') It looks like last time I used broadband at the 'rents it decided to make that my default connection, when I opened IE a dialup connection config box came up on its own and I removed that connection from it. Seems to have worked :D
