I've got a quad at 3.3GHz, 4GB of DDR2-950 and a HD3870 and it runs decently on medium graphics, ultra high psychics at 1680 x 1050.

Anyone that says they can run it maxed out with a good framerate is lying, or running at 1024 x 768.

Crysis is also a single-threaded game, which is just sad.

Yeah ok... I'm sure you play it on Very High with 40 FPS average. Shit, with that card you couldn't do high with 40 FPS average. The only setup to break 40FPS average with Very High is a 3x 8800GTXs in Tri-SLI. If you read any benchmark websites you'd know this.

What point of "Maxed out" don't you get? That should mean THE highest settings period. Not, sorta high, which AA turned off and AF at 2x.

They fixed the SLI performance in Crysis with that patch you speak of. 3-way SLI is a waste though, you're right.

Truth be told that if you wanted to "max" out everything in the ini's you'd be lagging graphics cards for the next 6 years.

AA is completely personal preference in my opinion. Normally I play games with x2, could I do that with crysis? probably, could I justify my 40fps? maybe, maybe not.
SLI still only gets you maybe 10 fps extra if even....hardly patched....

On another note, is it even possible to enable AA with directx9 on high?
