Dank - A Story of Betrayal, Theft, and Gaiters

Now, I know friends turning on friends and stealing equipment is semi old drama. Never the less I'm going to make a post anyway because well, it's early in the morning and I am quite bored.

It starts off back in October 2007 Dankchild (Now Danker) moved from Caitsith to Kujata in the effort to further his endgame career. His past shell Dainslef had chosen to disband for reasons which I'm not completely sure of as I wasn't in the shell therefore I will not elaborate upon them.

After using the server transfer service to switch his character to Kujata he renamed himself Danker as well as renaming his mule Dankerjr. About 2 weeks pass and Boko steps up and decides to remake the linkshel' and start without some of the troublesome members, more or less as it was prior to Dankchild leaving for Kujata. This made him want to come back to Caitsith as he was a friend of ours still and was going to be let in to the LS again.

At this time Dankchild has purchased a Ventrilo server that before the linkshell on Caitsith was reformed into Dreamers, was used to talk between myself (Octavious), Azra, Uthlian, and Dankchild (Owner). He mentioned that he would be coming back to Caitsith once he was able to re-transfer to be with his old friends as no one else left for Kujata with him.

Dankchild, now Danker, planned on furthering himself in the LS known as 'The Blue Crew' to the point where he could obtain Herald's Gaiters, Novio Earring, and Relic for his PLD before coming back to Caitsith. Off and on the chats went for awhile, and nothing more came of the server transfer talk. December rolls by as less and less of Dankchild shows up on his own Ventrilo Server. Presumably enough he was most likely on TBCs Ventrilo Server since he was active in their LS.

Friday January 25, 2007 approximately between 12:00-3:30 PM EST, Dankchild logged on to Azra whose information he had since the group of us had been talking on Ventrilo for some time and we considered him (Dankchild) to be a friend. Azra had known him for a little over a year at this point, and they talked regularly from the day they met. Whether it be MSN or Ventrilo they were very good friends.

On Friday as mentioned, Dankchild logged onto Azra's account and pillaged not only her items, but threw away some of her R/EX gear in a frenzy as he stole her equipment. Luckily, Azra was notified by Synapse (DreamersLS Member) that somebody was on her account, and asked if it was her. Upon discovering it was not, Azra called SE and had her account information reset to save the rest of her mules.

At first we were not fully sure if this was done by Dankchild, we had ideas but nothing in stone...till today. I recieved a text message from Dankchild the day of the account theft which read the following:

|Text 1 - 7:03 PM Friday| "Oct this is dank. Send me a message back. I think my account got jacked. 'Cause a person from my shell called me and said what are you doing in lakashami or w/e"

Now, I would like to believe my friend of a year didn't screw her over like this. However it seems quite obvious as the following pictures prove that it was him. Pictures often times speak for themselves and these say a whole lot...A list of items stolen as well as links to pictures of the stolen gear sales on Kujata's AH (hosted on photobucket, not direct links to FFXIAH) are below. The initial 4 items are believed to be bazaar'd somewhere on Kujata.

To conclude, it makes me relatively sad that someone who you think would not do this has the fortitude to do it and then lie about it. Azra (April) is one of the nicest people I've ever met and she wouldn't ever think of doing this to someone. It's disappointing, Dank regardless of what happened if you apologized that would at least account for something.

In the mean time the LS has helped provide April with almost everything she had prior to this ransacking. We'll be getting her Rostrum's again this week and hopefully she can get her R/EX items such as Dash Sash, Eggs, etc that were tossed back sometime in the near future.As for myself, thats pretty much everything I had to say.

Yes I know I shouldn't have shared my info ... there is nothing I can do about it now my items are gone forever.

The list of item which Octy gave was short and only the most expensive things, it was to hard to make a complete list....

But I would like to thank all my friends (who have resigned me the missing gifts they had once given me) and to my LS members who were ever so nice to get me all new gear, and gil. To think all I asked for was 300 gil to get to whitegate and a light and dark staff to borrow. They out did themselves!

He's been on the server for a long time, bought a cursed dalm -1 for 1m a long time ago, not a mule, etc. So, just so you all know, Dank != Danker.

Dank, and Danker are two completely separate people on Kujata. I'm sorry for what has transpired to your friend's account. It's terrible, and has happened to some freinds and linkshell members that I know as well. Unfortunately, those screenshots are just that, a coincidence.

ah man i read the OP and remembered the 7+ page blowjob festival oct and dankchild were having about the ninja'd/not ninja'd/i passed and logged lolol shadow mantle. this could have provided great laughter, but now its all ruined because there are so many god damned people named Dank in this game that no one can tell one from another.
