there was a anonymous film trailer when I went to see Transformers last sunday. It looked pretty freaking cool.

Took some research to find it, heh.

It's like the new Blair Witch. We get to listen to people bitching about how they almost threw up.
Movie looks cool though, can't wait to see and hear more about it.
As long as people stop crying "OMGVOLTRON".
you know I've been hearing that, "omgvoltron" I'm just wondering how these people made that connection.
In the trailer around when the statue of liberty's head lands, someone says something that sounds like "Its a lion".
Struck me as a Godzilla remake, though hard to say for sure. I think it's somewhat likely due to perhaps a fear of public backlash considering the last American attempt at it.
I'm really doubting that this is a Godzilla remake. They would have just called it Godzilla, no? It'll be interesting seeing what JJ Abrams comes up with for this, though. Shit, I love monster movies, so I'll see it as a matter of course, but the concept with the camcorders and the secrecy surrounding it really make me want to watch it. The monster or whatever better not be cheesy, though. Please, dear God, no fake Godzillas.
looks friggin cool to me.
It's JJ Abrams. I'm sure the source of the meteorite-esque things won't be clear for the first 90 minutes, and then it'll be disappointing.
Although, the director did write 64 episodes of Felicity, so there's always hope.
Wut?
I kinda thought it sounded like "Get in the car. It's a lion, it's huge."Originally Posted by Booin

The Hollywood Reporter this weekend described "Cloverfield" as a film about a monster attack.
So, mystery solved. It's a monster. I'd provide a link or quote but I don't have a Hollywood Reporter online subscription, but I just read it - front page of the weekend issue.

Go there...definately will show you its not a Godzilla movie, and if you can figure all of the puzzles out (I managed to with my brother eventually) it seems to be more of like a parasitic epidemic...something which we know about already (the government) and that we need to somehow fix. Perhaps the outcome of the movie will depend on how many people sign up for "the cause" before August 1st?
Regardless JJ Abrams knows his shit when it comes to advertising a movie. There is no fucking way I will miss this movie.
That's just a teaser trailer! Is that even going to be in the movie? Godzilla in NYC doesn't make sense to me but w/e, it looks badass anyway.
I thought the same exact thing. So much so that I started scream "Gohzirra! Gohzirra!" at the end of the trailerOriginally Posted by Isiolia

I dont see why they would randomly make another Godzilla movie...
I looked at IMDB.com for any ifno, and this is what they have as a tentative synopsis
