New to FFXI

Hi, my name is Kit though I probably won't be able to get that name in the game. I just got FFXI today and its still installing on my PS2, I don't really know alot about the game or what servers there are. I have been looking up websites that offer info on the game, but nothing on servers or linkshells. If anyone has a suggestion on which server would be good for a new comer please let me know. Thank you.

Welcome to FFXI! iirc, just about every server except Odin and Bahamut are open. You may have a rough start in the game because most players are past the beginning content, but there are social shells that may be willing to help you get missions and necessary quests done. There should be a bunch of lists of shells by type for each server on alla, too.

I took a look at the FFXIAH site and I have been trying to figure out which server has a decent economy. But I can't really read those economics things too well.

I chose the Midgarsordmr server, so now I just have to figure out what to do and maybe find a social and helpful linkshell.

Oh I almost forgot, I chose the name Kitkitty.
