    Firefox & java

    Firefox immediately closes whenever I visit any page with Java content on it. No error message, the very millisecond the page starts to load the firefox.exe process ends. The FAQs at the firefox help site don't really help, and searching google just gives me a bunch of forums with people saying "idk". My old computer had this problem before, but I can't remember how I solved it...

    I've seen that with embedded Quicktime, but not with Java...

    Are you running the latest version?

    Reinstall java runtimes, available from Sun's website.
    Reinstall Firefox.

    tried, same thing happens in IE, only browser that has no problems with Java is Opera.
