Soulflayer Staff Desynthesis Question

Hello all, I have a fairly simple question - and I've been getting some pretty confusing answers.

I'm trying to get a stack of Bloodwood Lumber for salvage upgrade, and I thought it would be most cost effective to desynth soulflayer staffs. My question is this - what day is best to desynth using a wind crystal for success? I've heard a few different answers, one being lightsday at 100% moonphase, but I've also heard lightningday and windsday... Anyone have some insight?

Oh - and I HAVE looked for this answer on several forums already - but I don't seem to find any guide that seems credible regarding synthesis/desynthesis. It seems like for everyone who says one thing, there is someone else that says another. If anyone has a link to a guide that would be awesome.

I have always been one to practice my own craft during any day / time / moonphase, but I just thought I'd ask what the people that believe in this "voodoo" have to say. I personally don't abide by these rules - but I figure that it can't hurt.

I do it on Lightningsday,light or darksday. Moonphase i dont give a damn ...

rather than list how to do this, i'll say that you don't want HQ, and you don't want breaks, so pick elementally neutral days to synth, and accept that since it's a wind crystal, stick with your moghancement woodworking rather than trying to have moghancement desynthesis.

Moghancement: wind to cut material losses can be an option too. With powerful lightning, I once used an entire stack of lightning crystals trying to desynth something, and kept the item every time (except the 12th or so, I lost track/can't remember)

I got a question about these staffs too, note that I'm really a crafting noob....

I leveled wwing to lvl 80 for the purposes of repairing a lushangs fishing rod. I need the bloodwood also for salvage pieces. I searched a bit and really have not been able to find anywhere that said what level you could desynth the staffs at. Would I be able to desynth them effectively at lvl80 wwing, or should I find someone who is level 100.... or is there another ideal level I should find for this desynth? (I had someone who was 94ish desynth 5 for me and HQed 3 times.... I have no clue how desynths really work... so i'm not sure if its due to skill or good luck or what)

I dunno, at 82 my desynth rate wasn't so horrible. Desynth is usually completely random anyways. ^^;

i dont care what any of u say about days not mattering, cuz when it comes to desynthesis, day definitly does have an effect, when i desynth on lightningday with lightning crystal my success rate is thru the roof. Anything you say wont convince me otherwise

i think you need to chill out a bit skeet, you act as if you know everything about crafting.
