So I have been on a quest!

A quest to finish all the videogames I have started but never finished.

    • Crackdown
    • Shadow the colossus
    • FFX-2
    • Bully
    • Mass effect
    • Pikiman
    • Half life
    • Half life 2
    • Assassins creed
    • Devil may cry 3
    • GTA SA
But you know what little prick game decides to fuck over my quest. FINALY FUCKING FANTASY 9. I went to Gamestop and I guess now they don’t tell ps1 games anymore. Went to all my friends and they don’t have this game. I’m stuck in a fucking rut. I don’t want have to order this shit online off of eBay for like 10 dollars shipping and wait for 3 weeks for it to come.

So anyone does know how to work emulators or roms? I tried downloading psX and I have no clue what to do. I read the site and I’m still a bit lost. And on top of that I have a hard time tracking down a decent copy of FFIX in iso or rom or w/e I need.

    Anyone wana help me out?

You could always play it on a PSP? If you have one I can send you the eboots for all the CDs.

Hard to say, i've never tried it myself.

I do have the original CDs though, I could turn them into ISOs and send them to you, but don't expect 300kb/s here.. If you mod your PS2 (even with the cheap swapper that costs like 30 bucks these days), you could just burn them onto a CD-R and play them.

Re: So I have been on a quest!

Mmm, i havn't looked for a copy off ff9, but i recently embarked on a simular quest, for ff8.

Took a few hours of tweaking but i finally got the old ass game to work with EPSXE on my vista rig.

Just download epsxe from emulator zone or its main site, http://www.ngemu.com/

Basicly through downloading the emulator go into the help file and it should explain everything you need to get it running. There are some special tweaks to get ff9 to work iirc, but they should be listed on the site and in the help file. Good luck, if you have any questions / problems PM me

Buying a copy on ebay and waiting for shipping is probably faster than downloading/torrenting a valid rip of all 4 game ISOs in this day and age. The PSX rom scene is pretty much toast.

Hmm interesting idea. I would rather not mod my ps2, and either way I need the an ISO for FFIX

but you dont have to burn them as of yet. i'll let you know if i'll take you up on that.

Dude just buy a used copy from Amazon for ten bucks.

    http://www.amazon.com/Square-Enix-9782- ... 774&sr=8-1

edit: ok I missed the part about waiting 3 weeks... buy it for $20 new from Amazon and it'll take like 3 days, they have it in stock.

I'd highly suggest doing this, I've done a crapload of transactions with amazon and have never had a problem with item condition and shipping.

I'm also on a quest. >_> Anyone have any recommendations as to how to go about getting a copy of Pikmin 2 without paying a ridiculous $60?

I have disc one and disc two in .img format if you don't find them elsewhere, I guess I could upload them to rapidshare or something (or if there's somewhere better) and then just burn the other two discs to my computer too. Works fine on ePSXe (it's what I use on my laptop), but there is something you need to configure in the settings specifically for FFIX. When/if you download it, go to configure your video options then go to special game fixes near the bottom of the window that pops up and check the box that's specified for FFIX.

Just found ISOs of FFIX (yes, all four discs) at the same place I got VP1 like a year ago. Not all that hard.

I've had HL2 sitting waiting for me to play it for over 2 years, it's still in the wrapper.

I am cursed never to actually finish FF VII even though i first started it ~10 years ago. I've had PS Breaking, PS2 breaking, Memory Cards going missing or randomly wiping, Discs breaking / being stolen/ lost / borrowed and never returned. Started playing it again with BF a few months ago and now my 3rd Disc is missing.
