Some Audio Stuff

I'm not entirely sure if this is "tech support" appropriate, but I suppose it can't hurt to put it here...

Anyway, to the matter at hand. I want to record some radio shows over winamp (di.fm for those that are familiar) and I'm just looking for some decent free software that will do the job in at least 128kbps (preferably, more is nicer but I'm not too picky) that would be easy to use, I tried google to find a few things but everything came up costing around 40$ or it records like crap.

I'm also looking for just some simple audio-editing software that can basically just crop audio at certain points, that's really all I'd want it for.

Any help's appreciated.

edit: nvm, found something that'll record but I can't seem to find any very simplistic audio-editing software, so that one's still out there

Ahh thanks, I remembered something ending in "ity" but I couldn't remember the name and figured it'd be too vague to mention, but that's the thing I was trying to think of xD
