[Bismarck] Mavens (End Game Shell) seeking dedicated players

since I was ASKED so kindly to edit this.

I don't represent Mavens anymore, however I DO represent APATHY LS. And I CAN tell you that we do shit and we get shit done. Dynamis. Mutli-Limbus runs. Sky. Sea. Everything. And since I bought the Mavens domain it now links back to Apathy. so http://www.mavensLS.com = APATHY. Don't ask me what or where Mavens website is. I don't know. If someone knows, they can post here if they'd like to.

Anyway we have a good 20+ members with Sea access now and still actively recruiting. Please see the site for more details. bye bye!

While I can't speak for the rest of Mavens, I can tell you that Depht is a very talented and kind player who I have known for awhile. Knows his stuff, and as you can probably tell by his post, isn’t some 12 year old banging on a keyboard to JOAIN MY SHLELLZ.

If his skill level and personality are any indication this should be a very nice LS

Just thought I’d throw this out there for anyone considering Mavens- it’s always nice to have a character reference on leaders so you know you’re not going to end up with a douchebag shellholder.

Also, nice idea for this subforum, it's my first time noticing it D:

Do you all do background checks? Because by looking at the screenshots on your main page, you should have caught this one:

I thought I recognized the name, but when I asked if anyone else had checked they told me yes... ah, I guess I'll take responsibility. I'll look into any other transfers as well.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll run it by everyone relevant and keep an eye out for anything until I get their decision on it.

Here is a link to the actual Mavens website http://mavens.lonestar-programming.com/

Not going to use this post as an opportinuty to flame, and we have requested amongst Apathy that one would take responsibility and correct it. However, Mavens finds it very disrespectful that Apathy hides behind our name. With this in mind, we look forward to any and every applicant and will clearly work forward in every aspect to reward our members as well as have as much fun as possible~! Thank you

    Yes you did.
And generally, people don't hide behind another inferior linkshell's name.

Also, just so you have your facts straight, I tried to get Depht to sort it, he didn't.
    After that...
I tried to get a BG Mod to fix it, they didn't because I didn't create the topic.

Apathy isn't to blame for this one, you can blame one of two entities here.

1: Depht for not changing the name when requested to
2: Your own dumb asses for not reserving a domain name or website for yourselves.

Actually this topic was damn near the bottom of the page prior to bumping it right back up to the top. The smart thing would have been to let this fall off the page (which it was on its way to doing) and making a thread of your OWN.

And its my domain. I paid for it. I'll point it to whatever site I so choose. If a mod wants to delete this or change it, then thats their choice. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Re: [Bismarck] Mavens (End Game Shell) seeking dedicated players

I'm representing myself here for the moment, rather than the LS. If you have any complaints regarding the following, I'd ask you to take it to PM.

I don't think anyone actually asked Dep to reserve it, and at the time the LS already had a site. It didn't have its own domain name, but as far as I know it was Dep's own decision to purchase that and host a site there.

2: Your own dumb asses for not reserving a domain name or website for yourselves.
As I said, we did have a site, but it wasn't at its own domain. I see that your site isn't, either, unless you count mavensls.com. I guess it would be okay for me to buy apathyls.com and point it to Mavens, then.

No one should have to expect that anyone is intentionally going to misrepresent their LS by running off with their name.

And its my domain. I paid for it. I'll point it to whatever site I so choose.
    By your logic, I could:

    1. Make a site using your real name as a domain.
    2. Post on a fairly large public forum claiming that this site was a portfolio of your work.
    3. Point it to a shock site. I'm sure prospective employers would be pleased to find goatse where they expected your work, right? Not that I'm comparing your LS site to that, but I thought a bit of exaggeration would make it more interesting.

I'm sure this would be completely kosher with you, as it would be my domain... despite the fact that your reputation would be the one riding on it, not mine.

It would have made a lot more sense to me if you sold the domain to someone else and recouped your losses rather than being childish. It won't bring your money or time back, but you're doing a rather remarkable job of making both yourself and your LS look bad, as this whole situation is going to be linked to them by your actions. I would say that yes, this is partially Apathy's responsibility, regardless of whether they really condone it or not. The site linked to is yours; the uncalled for insults scattered throughout your posts further complicate the situation.

I think that the topic should be locked or deleted before a new one was made, simply because having two topics would be a bit redundant. I suppose you could argue that Apathy has two topics right now thanks to Dep's edit. It's up to the mods, but I think removing this embarassment altogether and making a fresh one would be for the best. If you'd rather Mavens just make a new topic and leave this one, that's fine, but I would still consider it potentially damaging to both parties involved if it's left the way it is.

P.S. - Regarding Ronalas earlier in the topic, they were watching for questionable behavior and booted him and Giya when they complained about the lotting rules, so that's not an issue anymore. I was promised that someone's checking BG for me while I'm busy with finals, so if I hear otherwise I'll amend the situation. Violently.

For BG Mods, this isn't mileslong posting, I asked him about it. And I have his IP adress standing at the ready from our website, please PM me so we can confirm that this guy isn't who he says he is.
