    6-hit

    Tried using search didn't find anything so I apologize if this has been posted on before. I am a career ridillberk war that is just starting to get into the awesomeness that is war/sam. My question is, with rajas and /sam does war automatically have a 6-hit build with say Byakko's or Perdu's? Or do I possibly need other gear?

    Cue the obligatory responce: "Go test it yourself" but I am at work and bored and don't have access to FFXI right now.

    I think one of the other ridill vs gaxe war threads recently had a post that said /sam and 7stp from gear is 6hit with byakko or perdu.

    Rajas + Brutal + Chivalrous Chain + /SAM = 6 hit, I believe, assuming 504 delay.

    Once you have a Fortitude Torque your Christmas is ruined, and I have my sights set on an Ecphoria Ring to correct this.

    Yeah I have fort torque and use it with GA. Are you saying that I would have to use chiv chain to get a 6-hit? I really don't want to have to use that <.<;

    No, keep torque on and switch your second ring (not rajas) to Ecphoria ring for the +1 store TP that you'd get from Chiv.

    gotcha thanks.

    This leads me to another question: Are you able to get new ToAU rings ala CoP ones? My Ultha ring is pretty useless now.

    Just land 2 hits from each RR and you're at a 6 hit with just Rajas and Brutal while /Sam.

    I WS in sea gorget and still keep 6 hit, though I am using lolchivchain.

    Isn't Carbonara (Store TP+6?) viable as well? I remember reading about people using this with GAXE in some other thread D:

    already been said +7sTP needed on top of /sam. I don't have the sea torque so i just use chiv for TP and pcc for WS. If you have cor you can just use +6sTP(maybe less) and get 5 hit.

    Its too expensive to use at a place like bird camp.

    Yeah I understand that but it seems that a lot of people brag about a 6-hit but they don't have +7sTP in gear to back it up. That's why I was confused.

    They maybe talking about after a WS. Which isn't a 6hit build. 16.something or 17 for a 6hit build. Generally you'll get about 17 TP back from RR which should lend enough to getting to 100 in 5 more hits.

    Not counting TP from WS, with 6 sTP you get 16.5 TP with a 504 GA per hit (16.5*6=99) and with 7 sTP you get 16.7 TP per hit (16.7*6=100.2) I'm no expert at calculating all this stuff so please correct me if this is wrong D;

    With /SAM and in a good party (Hasso majority of the time), you're bound to get hit at least once I'd think getting up to 100TP, in this scenario 6sTP would give the illusion that it's giving you a full 6hit setup which might be what those people you referred to may be thinking. I don't know if that's gonna make sense to anyone, but it made sense in my head! <_<

    I understand what you're saying. I usually leave Seigan up a majority of the time because generally we're killing so much stuff I'd rather not get hit and take 200 damage when i know i'm going to eventually get hit anyways and just relay on my gear to achieve 6hit w/o require the single hit.

    Retaliation is very fkn nice btw.

    I don't think there's an option yet, I was looking out for one but drew a blank. I could (hopefully) be wrong though.

    They haven't added a request for ToAU rings yet.

    Does anybody know the number of Store TP needed for DRG (492 delay)? I know its more than WAR and I dont have the gear (Askar body) to get the number needed yet.

    If i did my math right, you need about 25 store TP with 492 delay weapon, or /SAM + 10storeTP from gear. Askar body + Rajas.

    It's something around the area of 24-25 sTP. so around 9 or 10 on top of /SAM

    edit: it's actually 26 before WS. So you need +11 sTP.
