xbox360 halp

Ok, so I finally got a 360, and I'm having a little trouble.

The red/yellow/white cable doesn't seem to be working at all.

I tried the red/green/blue one, and it half-works. I get a display, but there is no sound.

I hooked up my cousin's 360 on this tv a few months back, so the problem isn't the tv. I'm thinking there's a problem with the cable, but I'm not sure. I'm taking it back to the store tomorrow, but if anyone here has any ideas on how to possibly fix it, it would be cool =/

The component cables (r/g/b) only provides video. You need to hook that up along with the audio (r/w not yellow) to get the sound to go with it. Your TV should have all 5 ports on the same input, so make sure you're pluggin them into the right places. If that's all done correctly and still doesn't work, you have faulty cables or a faulty Xbox (or both)

I don't have them all in one set.

I have 4 sets of r/y/w and one set of r/g/b =/

edit: looking at it closer, 2 of the sets seemed link, (and the fact that I only have 3 video/1 component channel..) so I threw all 6 cables in and it worked, thanks!
