    CD > mp3

I think AudioGrabber is using some out of date encoders, and the mp3 quality doesnt sound too good any more.

I am not an audio perfectionist I admit but as long as I can hear it I'm fine. CDex is just one of those apps which I've got given via a CD in them PC magazines and I;ve been using it/keeping up to date with it since.

It's a 1mb~ application and can do a lot of different MP3 options using that "Lame" codec. I've not used anything else for my CD>Mp3 collection, only that.

    Use EAC (Exact Audio Copy).

    http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

You'll have to grab the LAME encoder to use it, and FLAC too, if you rip anything to FLAC.

If you are active on torrent sites at all, this is the preferred ripper, with logs, of most members.

Can take a little while to configure, but there is an excellent guide here:

    http://www2.firehose.us:81/~jiggafellz/eac/index.html

Just follow it step by step for your mp3 wants (192, V0, 320, whatever), and ta-da.
