Did I just get claim blocked? O_o

I'm leveling SCH today in Lower Delkfutt's Tower on Gobs, and another party shows up and starts camping on top of us. We decide to simply outclaim them, so all of us are on pull duty.

So I do what I've done in the past for claims, I self-target with a spell (in this case, Poison) and keep hitting enter to try and spam it so it automatically starts casting when a mob pops.

Because I'm too lazy to post the SS right now (and I'm still in the party), the chat log looked something like this:

*I did not move at all while doing this. Standing still, enter key spam.
**This was when I attempted to cast Poison on the mob again, basically it acted like I had just casted it.

This happened twice, so, does this mean I got claim blocked? I thought that was only implemented on NMs that are heavily competed against, not regular run of the mill XP mobs. Anyone else have this happen? Just found it funny that I got claim blocked during a level 20 xp party.

At any rate, I'm pleased that I don't suck at claiming.

SE implemented the claim patch on any situation. You did get claim blocked. I've mostly had it happen on goblin pets when soloing.

Not everything that drops nice stuff is an NM, though; for instance Spook. (at least when the patch was initiated, it was still quite lucrative)

You can get claim blocked on anything, it's happened to me on lullaby duty in the puk ISNM.

So weird lol, I didn't think it was on every mob in the game. Learn something new every day.

Also, on the plus side (if you care) the other party left after we pulled about 4 mobs without them getting any. FTW.

I used to get claim blocked on the Chigoes that popped from 1F Rampart every time I went as WHM to Bhaflau... Dia II and Wild Oats, both always claim blocked. Such a nuisance.

You can get claim blocked on anything, it's happened to me on lullaby duty in the puk ISNM.

This usually ends up with a death or two when I do this D: I once thought if I subbed rdm and used minstrel's ring = awesome in the ISNM... ended up being way too fast.
