Muslim Children Gassed After "Obsession" DVD Hits Ohio

As some of you know, the anti-Muslim DVD, "Obsession," a film I thought to be little more than violent propaganda, has recently been placed in major newspapers in swing states by the Clarion Foundation, a known McCain supporter. The Clarion Foundation is releasing a special "presidential election" version.

The room that the chemical was sprayed into was the room where babies and children were being kept while their mothers were engaged in prayers. This, apparently, is what the scare tactic political campaigning of John McCain's supporters has led to -- Americans perpetrating a terrorist attack against innocent children on American soil.

Aside from my own views on the film, I found it hysterical those filmed credited for having "great knowledge in Islam," including a man given the title "Former PLO Terrorist."

I'm disgusted but not surprised that four days have passed and there has been no mention of this in more broadcast news networks. As we all know, it's only terrorism when Muslims (read: the new-age Communists) do it. But more importantly, in my opinion, is the distribution of this film. I think every Muslim should watch the film and understand the rhetoric used in the film to see really what some people think of us. Otherwise, it can't be understated that the film is truly deplorable and is nothing more than anti-Muslim propaganda.

Nonsense, Timothy McVeigh was viewed as a terrorist and to my best knowledge, he wasn't Muslim. Furthermore, if its someone just going "off the deep end" after viewing this DVD (I haven't seen it yet, but I plan on it soon) going on a rampage of sorts, there's no real chance for authorities to catch them. Its pretty hard to catch someone before they do something on an impulse, since its, you know... an impulse.

Additionally, its just that... SOME people think that of Muslims. Not all, we don't all hate you. Its no different that SOME Arab people hate America. We know not all hate us. We know SOME do pass out or view anti-America propaganda. Some people sadly are just incapable of co-existing with other people.

Yea, I heard some mention of this in the news last night. I guess the child is fine but reported that it burned in her eyes or something. This is all the more reason I hate living in Ohio, ugh can't wait to graduate. :O

Well there are muslims who blew up the twin towers on American soil killing thousands of innocent people. Surely there are going to be some people of the same mindset on the American side? Why are you surprised?

Muslim bashing is so hot right now.

The entire perspective on the Middle East is wrong. The MSM goes on and on about how 'they' hate us for our freedom and liberty and blah blah but it couldn't be further from the truth.

This problem is systemic and likely won't ever be fixed too unless we have massive overhauls in our foreign policy in that region.

    EDIT:
People shouldn't be surprised by stupidity.

It's a non-issue. We shouldn't concern ourselves with the shock-value of these acts. The absurdity and shamefulness are givens. What we should be concerned about is the complete lack of wisdom on part of our foreign policy makers. We should wonder why people don't know anything about US imperialism throughout the decades. We should wonder why our leaders simplify and demonize the terrorists around the world. These people surely have done monstrous things but so have our leaders. This isn't empathy, it's foresight.

This isn't really necessary to understand what people think of us. That was pretty evident after 9/11, even before then really. I'd rather live a tranquil life, not really giving a shit what the hillbilly next door thinks of how I conduct my religious life. Unnecessary is really an understatement of how I feel about caring about these type of things.

I find it hilarious that every time me and my dad walk into a bank, or any other very professional workplace, that everyone takes one look and immediately changes their posture from slump to more erect then Ron Jeremy (due to his big ass beard). And the constant ass kissing which is bound to ensue is always a blast to watch. I wouldn't have it any other way, honestly; it's just to fucking funny.

Maybe because these were chemical agents used against people that were defenseless as they prayed, as well as the many children involved? It's just pathetic how low people will go. Get over yourself.

I personally don't have a problem with the Middle East. This was more so a problem at school as I now work in a predominantly white enviroment. What I do have a problem with is Muslims coming to UK and shoving the political correctness stick that far up my ass, I can't say or do anything.

I feel its unfair that I had the basic concepts of this medieval religion pushed upon me. We were always taught to respect other religions, yet the Muslims complained about crucifixs in school, as they were supposedly offensive to them. They were swiftly taken down. Got into an arguement with a Muslim guy? He pulls the racism or religion card. I have no leg to stand on because I'm not part of the minority.

I find that people from the Middle East get really offended over the stupidist shit and are often zealots for their religion, as it is the governing force in their life.

@Crucifixes in school; Why's it in school anyways? I thought public schools were supposed to be "religion free" anyways? That's not something to call out a Muslim on, or any other religious person that is offended by something like this.

I think we need to stop looking at people as symbols which is what we're doing.

None of us have a choice in our looks and as a result, our ethnicity/etc. None of us have a choice in where we are born and as a result, our social environment (dominant religion/popular moral codes/laws/etc).

And yet, we have to partake in this big charade that we're all so different. As if these differences have some great purpose. Like, I was MEANT (i.e., destined) to be born pure awesome of such and such ethnicity/income level/parents/etc etc.

None of that matters. It affects us, sure. But none of it *forces* a person to behave a certain way. It only influences us, but we ultimately have the free will to look past those rigid variables. Sort of like FF.

In FF, you have game-play aspects that are quite rigid. We all have to sit in Aery for hours at a time, many many times, to get a stupid blue sword. What sort of reactions that follow as a result of these rigid game-play variables should be expected.

You can study these reactions and ascertain that people are going through the same emotions due to experiencing the same variables.

In real life, it's no different. It has nothing to do with being a Muslim or Jew or Christian or Pastafarian ( D: ). All those religions are derivative of certain pure rigid variables that are out of our hands (initially), such as place of birth.

Which comes back to the point about anticipation. We should anticipate constant conflict in the Middle East due to prolonged Western economic and social interventionism. Those are the variables that cause such dissent. They are rigid. They affect all sorts of people. People. Not Muslims. People.

Not in UK. There are Catholic schools, Protestant schools and non demonination schools. The funny thing is though, I went to a Catholic school. Get it now? (for the record I practice no religion)

Even in response to why are you surprised you still sounded awful butthurt at a small point I made, although that could have been the "get over yourself". I never slated either side. Just asked why are you surprised there are people of this mindset.

To be honest, are you not more surprised there wasn't way more innocent Muslims killed for no reason? People throughout history kill what they find as the largest threat to them. What if a percentage of the white population were extremists and believed the life they will have after death if they destroy a huge Arab landmark?

I think it's the responsibility of Muslims to find these fuckers within their own community and bring them to justice. Though Elvis hit the nail on the head. Too much Western interference in that culture has led many to dislike the West, whereas others embrace it openly.

I find it hard to believe a Muslim would be attending a catholic school, but ok. And notice how I said public school? Religious schools, in the US at least, are all considered private schools.

I wasn't butthurt, I was just surprised at how ignorant someone could be to ask why their surprised after people gassed a room full of children and praying woman/men.

Sure, large threats, I can understand that. Do I find it surprising? Not in the least. I do find it surprising that people sink lower then dirt and attack innocent children, who as we all know, pose a huge threat on our society? Honestly, not really anymore.

And there were many white extremists, including many now days.

Shenanigans. If Ohio is anything like Tecksauce, law enforcement dislike Muslims and it's very apparent. Call me a douche, but that's just my biased opinion. Morally and ethically correct, yes, but it probably won't happen, just like this story not being shown on more news stations, websites and what have you.

The best part about you not believing the Muslim thing is they were asylum seekers, and still had the audacity to complain after being given free houses etc.

Yes we may be intelligent enough to see that Muslims aren't a threat. The large threat was bringing down the Twin Towers. It's the symbolism behind this which strikes fear into people. What about the people of America after 9/11? The panic and fear that wrought was immense, as people were anticipating more and more attacks.

This is the period I mean, the time after this happening.

The definitions of those were reversed, at least when I lived in England. I went to a "private" school, which was by American definitions a "public" school. Still, it was based around a church and was indeed very much like a "private" school in America (similar at least to the one I went to when I moved back to the 'states).

It's not necessarily that the schools are deeply religious, it's more that it's tradition.

We got some of those in the mail the other day, and my friend jokingly called them "Jihad DVDs". Didn't know about the incident though.

Not believing a Muslim would attend a Catholic school? Can you really blame me lol? Unless your talking about something completely different, but that's the only thing I posted that said something along the lines of not believing.

Interesting. That is very different from a US standpoint.

And? The quote this was in response to was about a few people flying planes into buildings. Both obviously being pretty douchebag things to do. The people praying and the children sleeping or w/e were just as defenseless as the people that were tolling through just another day at the office. All Rai was saying is there are those kinds of people in every religion/race/political party/etc.

Some people sadly are just incapable of co-existing with other people.
These are the people that need to leave this world. Or go to time out until they realize this is a community planet, not their own.

When something happens on the streets of South Western Ohio, nothin' EVER happens. It's just another Muslim dead.

Maybe they need a catchy rap album to illustrate their plight. The country just doesn't care unless it's a kidnapped white kid with blue eyes.
