The scenes at Langley are fucking hilarious

I saw it on Friday and it was an absolute riot. Brad Pitt plays Chad to such levels of idiocy and face it's practically a Panto production.

John Malkovitch was fantastic, as always, and JK Simmons is always good for a few chuckles.

Very worth seeing. I don't know if this will end up on any Oscar or other awards lists, but so far it's my favourite film of 2008 after The Dark Knight.

All of those scenes at Langley are the best.
Definitely a great movie and would recommend.

The Langley scenes are definitely the best. I also laughed really hard for some reason when they visit the Russian embassy, and Brad Pitt has the Kleenex shoved up the wrong nostril, and is bleeding all over himself.

I thought it was awesome, a few of my friends said it wasn't as funny as they expected but i think they are just idiots. Malkovitch walking in boxers a wife beater and robe with a hatchet was epic.

It was much better than I expected, given the so-so reviews I had read of it.

The overall plot arc kind of reminded me of The Big Lebowski in a way. Francis McDormand gets caught up in a bunch of shit that's way over her head in her quest for bigger tits, much in the same way that The Dude did in his attempts to get his rug replaced. Not quite as many instantly quotable lines as Big Lebowski, but I think this is also one of those films that will be more enjoyable after repeated viewings.

There are definitely a lot of subtleties in the film, but plots surrounding the nature of the relationships between characters lose a lot of their weight after the truth is revealed to the audience in the third act.

For the first 30 minutes or so I was thinking my ass off as to why people love the shit out of this movie, then in the last hour or so I had no trouble realizing why. Amazingly well done movie.
