Warning: Cerberus Kayelgee

Thought I'd let everyone know that once this guy gets whatever he's after, he's likely to bail. He received Assassin's Armlets from my dynamis shell on 12/29/08, hung around another two weeks to collect the monthly payout, then left Unicorn for Cerberus without warning. He apparently took a bunch of pop items from his ZNM linkshell with him as well. Based on the story he gave, I believe he had been planning this for some time.

Sadly, this was someone who had previously been kicked from my shell for being asleep and/or AFK during events more often than he was actually playing, but we gave him a second chance. His play improved, but he still burned us in the end.

As the old platitude goes "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." Moral of the story? Have a zero tolerance policy for people who you know may be fake afking for whatever reason. If they're not in a city area there's a good chance they're doing something else. Sorry you lost some AF2.

To add on to what Vx wrote, it is also thought by a good amount of people that when he went to Cerberus, he went to join several of his friends who left awhile back. They were all in a LS named Venceia (prolly spelled it wrong). This added fact, with the "sudden" transfer, is why we feel the warning is needed.

Yeah, pretty much. It seems that every time I give someone a second chance, or even get a "I have a bad feeling about this guy" warning from a member, we end up having a problem.

But we're a fairly strong, well established linkshell. Losing some AFv2 isn't going to hurt us much when we have at least 3 other TH4s in the shell. Still, it's a slap in the face, and I feel bad for the people still waiting for their stuff.

Checking FFXIAH.com there is a Kayelgee with the same spelling listed with purchases starting as of the 24th. I'm fairly certain I had checked his name sometime last/mid-week and that name was not in the server. I would think it's him again but perhaps I searched in error previously.

*edit:about checking ffah- I was checking last week because we didn't know if he had been on cerberus on a mule or if he had actually hopped servers. I received a F.List messege from him 2 days ago confirming he had swapped

Yea we know he took ZNM items for sure, the person who Co-runs the LS that he was part of (ViceorVirtue is it Nekura?) is also in my main /dynamis shells and was pretty PO'd abotu the whoel thing.. Honestly I'm a but upset for him too even though I am unable to do znms with that group due to my work scheudles.

I checked FFXIAH for the name last week also, and didn't find it, so I think he probably kept his name. Should be fairly easy to confirm, in any case. He's got at least THF, BRD, RNG, SMN, and NIN at or near 75. And has 4 or 5 pieces of AFv2 for all those except NIN.

I used to be in the previous shell he was in, strange thing is i saw no real signs of him doing that he wasnt around much or showed up to events much, Furious the people you all say in question are from the previous ls that broke we were all in you may have some in your ls or had them apply, i don't know, i didnt interact with him enough to see if he was this type, but based on him it may have had somthing to do with the type of members he was with. he was more then likely convinced to move. which is understandable to some degree because unicorn offers nothing in regardess to endgame that we havnt already seen.

We were in the same shell for 2-3 years until it broke. KLG was always loyal and helpful, his playtime dropped a lot at some point due to rl stuff so he wasn't as active/reliable as he used to be for that reason but it never caused a problem either.

I wouldn't go as far to say he had been planning that for some time, he's really not that type of person. Which is why i'm surprised to read this in the first place. I can understand that you're upset because he didn't inform you before transfering, but posting a player warning is pushing it. We had a couple of difficult or (almost) hopeless scenarios in the ls we've been in and he never bailed after getting what he wanted, although nobody would have blamed him if he left considering the situation.

Skimpy has been trying to convince me to switch to cerberus too... Kayelgee simply decided to go with him after a while, not to screw you over, but to be with his friends. It could have been done more gallant with a simple message, no question - however this thread does not reflect who he really is, i figured i'd give you a different opinion from someone who's actually known him for quite a long time.
