Sooo, for some reason, ive been getting major crap for using this Ring on Ranger. Is it really a bad piece for ranger or are people just being stupid?

If you're eating meat but still managing a 6hit build while maintaining ~95% acc, yup this ring rocks.

It's not a bad ring per say for tp even if not in assault.

But people with at least one melee job usually rather go with Ulthalam's.

It's really good for Corsair since they have a lack of both Ranged Attack and Accuracy. But for Ranger I would rather go with either a full blown RACC or STR ring to complement what type of setup I am currently using be it either Attack build or Accuracy build. Its still a really nice ring though.

this is a GREAT RING, people are stupid like you said, this is like an accuracy ring, but you get a little free ratk onit, and if the 4-5 r.acc(trade off from like a behemoth) is make/gunna break you, fail D:

I have no regrets for getting this ring. The rng attk is real noticeable coming from a ring slot (which you cant get elsewhere really), and the accuracy on it just makes it tits.

Its weird, I got bitched at for getting this ring too...

about 99% of the time i tp with this ring, that other 1% is like for ungodly evasive things, and barrage, if people are bitching at you for a jalz ring, i should expect them to still bitch at a bellonas?

There's a lot of trade you can do for trading 1 ratk -> y racc. where y >1.
There's only a few trade you can do for trading 1 racc => 1 ratk or higher. Jalzahn's is one of the trade you can do from Behe+1. The other examples can be : Trailer / Hawker-> Fransisca/Kriegs.

People are stupid, Jalzahn's is the 2nd best ranged attack ring in the game(and in Salvage/Assault it might even be better then Bellona's).

While jalrahn's on it's own doesn't make or break you, it's still 3% accuracy in a meat setup compared to behemoth+1, more often than not that means the behemoth+1 will get you better damage over time. It's not a huge difference, but a few things like that(ranger's necklace or qiqirn collar over PCC, fire staff over hawker+1(s)/kriegs/franny/whatever, pahluwan pants over dusk, etc) will make the difference between having capped/near capped accuracy while using meat and whiffing enough you'd be better off with sushi.

i think it's great for rng. it's not like balrahn's or ulthalam's was going to do your rng any good. if i was you i'd just look at their rng setup and criticize them.

In some setups it's good, especially sushi ones.. the problem is that it's a huge opportunity cost and while it's good, it's only good. Balrahn's ring is insane for people who do salvage frequently or RDMs that solo, and ulthalam's is a pretty nice melee ring everywhere, though toreador's or sniper+1 are usually better.
