FFXI Updating Problem

Since I know my question is gonna get lost within the advanced forum thread, I'm going to post it here.

When it comes time to update files, I usually get stuck at a certain percentage on the "downloading files" page, and it will not move no matter how long I let it sit or restart. It isn't related to people downloading it at the same time; I've had this problem before like last update, and there's been an instance where I have been gone for three days, came back, and got stuck again. Usually I get the files from someone else being nice enough to host them, but no one is doing it this time and this is getting beyond annoying. :/

Checking my files doesn't seem to help either. Any advice?

Actually, if anyone would happen to know how to upload these files on Megaupload or could do it, that'd be nice too. No one I know seems to know how to do it. :/

Edit: Slight update. I decided to uninstall POL and try to reinstall it. It seems I'm still stuck at patch.txt as well.
