Somepagesque search database?

With Somepage being infected by every new virus known to man as they come out, what other safe sites are there to do searches like you could do on Somepage?

e.g. searching for armor equippable by SAM between levels 24 and 28 that enhance STR, or searching for non-linking mobs between levels 33 and 35, etc.

For the equipment thing, the closest out there would be FFXIAH's power search. As for the mobs, I don't think any website has anything nice like that anymore.

That's a shame, I always used that to figure out where to take parties or solo BST. Now I'll probably have to resort to something like campsite tarus, unless that's defunct now, too.

FFXI Atlas's beastiary has some kind of monster search going on there, but I don't know how safe people consider atlas nowadays. Don't know why anyone else hasn't picked up Somepage's awesome search and used it elsewhere.

BGwiki has a chart like that, too, also on each job's specific page... and is a safer, more reliable source than otherwiki in general.

It still has more info than BGwiki, and I like how it looks more + got used to using it.
Also, loldonating, and you can't claim that BG cummunity/mods are saints.

OT, Im just as surprised that no1 thought to jack those search codes off somepage to use on safer sites(or made their own). FFXIAH finally recently made a similar one for items, but you can't search in your results. Wikia is part of a bigger site now, so doubt they could add stuff like that now, so if BGwiki does it, I'd actually make the switch.

Not going to get into the funds drama. Old and beaten to death.

I don't like Charitwo either but any wiki will have admins and editors like that. Once BGWiki gets more core editors you'll start to see it happening there too. Hell even Wikipedia has editors like Charitwo.

As to the Weapon Skill paralyze thing you don't need to be a master of the game to run a wiki and that has nothing to do with the quality of the information on the wiki. It's kind of a silly thing to bring up.

I didn't say BGwiki had more info, just that any given piece of information that I can find on either BGwiki or otherwiki, I'd trust BGwiki's accuracy more. I'd also trust BGwiki more in terms of security, too, in light of all the hacked websites lately. Hence, safer and more reliable, not "contains more information".

As for BG admins/mods, no they aren't saints, but I'm fairly certain they are above board with everything as opposed to the otherwiki (e.g. fraud scandal). Yes, its old, but still a mark on their record and the main reason a competitive wiki emerged in the first place.

This isn't about BGwiki being flawless perfection, but more about having more trustworthy admins and mods with a little more knowledge of the game than some of the gems you find at otherwiki. Think of otherwiki as the big chain computer store, and BGwiki as the local family owned shop run by a guy who grew up fixing and putting together computers. Who will have the bigger selection? Who would you trust more with your questions and issues?

Unfortunately, otherwiki does have a larger volume of information, so for the stuff you can't find at bgwiki, it's the only place to go. Just take what you read with a grain of salt.

otherwiki = fraudwiki. As much as id rather use bgwiki you cant really deny that otherwiki has tons more info, so thats usually where I end up going. All in all it really doesnt matter, as soon as some new info gets posted on bg, charitwo and his band of retards usually end up ganking it and throwing it on otherwiki anyway, so the info is usually the same.
