Any chance you could suggest a decent talent spec for general solo levelling please? Well, I'm not exactly solo, dual boxing two priests, but won't be doing any group stuff until much later, if ever.

Also keen on any other advice, order to get talents etc.

Mobs die pretty fast, so far I'm not even bothering with dots, Smite > Mind Blast > Holy Fire > dead mob, thanks to double damage. I should get Mind Flay as a priority now I guess?

Level 28.5 at the moment, and with r-a-f they'll be 30 tomorrow easily, so anything around there onwards would be great.

Spirit Tap, stack spirit on your gear.

I'd go with that, next points go into shadow weaving, then VE/imp VE, Silence, darkness so on and so forth. As long as you have spirit tap and a lot of spirit on your gear you pretty much can't go wrong.

I was smart enough to max spirit tap straight away, and I've been going stam/spirit when possible with gear, but really they've levelled to 30 so fast that their gear is atrocious.

Also, can dots crit? I've never really noticed

no, unless you have certain talents (ie warlocks) but dot damage is increased by your crit chance

DoT damage increases with critical strike rating when in shadowform only.

I took blackout before improved mindblast/shadow word: pain for leveling, but I'm on a pvp server.

Blackout is a personal pref. Sometimes I love it, sometimes it annoys the shit outta me.

I actually did that as well when I was leveling my priest, but in retrospect I probably wouldn't. Its not a bad talent by any means but I don't feel the need for a random stun while leveling.
