Dreriont, the RL boyfriend to Kaykins, has just been diagnosed while in the hospital with menengitis.
Kay sometimes logs onto Dreriont to help him out while he's in the hospital.

He is a member of my Sky LS and a friend.
This medical condition is potentially life threatening and he's in a lot of pain.
Please, send him your warm thoughts and prayer to help him heal and recover.
I will update anyone who is interested in his condition.

Meningitis is a medical condition that is caused by inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord, known collectively as the meninges.[1] The inflammation is usually caused by infection with viruses, bacteria, or other microorganisms but may also arise due to certain drugs, or other diseases.[2] Meningitis is potentially life threatening due to the inflammation's proximity to the brain and spinal cord; it is therefore a medical emergency.[1]

The most common symptoms of meningitis are headache and neck stiffness associated with fever, confusion or altered consciousness, and an inability to tolerate bright light (photophobia) or loud noises (phonophobia). Sometimes, especially in small children, only nonspecific symptoms may be present, such as irritability and drowsiness. If a rash is present, it may indicate a particular cause of meningitis; for instance, meningitis caused by meningococcus bacteria may be accompanied by a characteristic rash.[1][3]

Meningitis is diagnosed using a technique called lumbar puncture, which involves inserting a needle into the spinal column to extract a sample of cerebrospinal fluid, the fluid that envelops the brain and spinal cord.[4] Meningitis must be treated promptly with antibiotics and sometimes antiviral drugs. In some situations, corticosteroid drugs can also be used to prevent complications from overactive inflammation.[3][4] Meningitis can lead to serious long-term consequences such as deafness, epilepsy, hydrocephalus and cognitive deficit, especially if not treated quickly.[1][3] Some forms of meningitis (such as those associated with meningococcus, Hemophilus influenzae type B, pneumococcus or mumps virus infections) may be prevented by immunization.[1]

Dreriont does not want or need anything, except to get his Warrior up to level 75. His girlfriend is helping him that.

Honestly, can we rescrict the comments to those that are helpful or nice?
Kaykins (his RL girlfriend) is looking for stuff to bring to him while they operate on him. Dre and Kay cannot touch, only talk to one another. So, she is printing out messages of kindness to pass to him when she visits.

I'm just trying to find the logic in your thread. Something as serious as this would most likely be known only amongst close friends or a linkshell site. Asking for prayers from complete strangers just comes off to me as arrogant for some reason.

He's not really concerned with it now, of course.
Kaykins (his girlfriend) visited him, but had to go back home.
While at home, she is trying to get her mind off of the situation.
The thing she thinks of to help him and help her as well,
Is to help him get to 75, like he was trying to get to before he was in the hospital.

It makes sense to me.
Now she can think of him, but not in a bad way, and has a way to occupy her time until she can visit him again.

Gotta agree w/this. While I hope he gets better, why you decided to need to make a post about this to complete strangers who won't give this a 2nd thought after they read the OP just confuses me. Friends/LS members/ect should be the ones who are there to comfort... but seriously sounds like his priorities are in the wrong place if his condition is this bad and all he wants to do is play his WAR
