Music Creation with a Handheld board

A while ago, I saw a video of a device some guy created that looks like those old school 'lite-bright' things.

each button on the grid corresponds to a musical note and special rows will make it do different beats, tempos and what not. I can't for the life of me find out what that thing is called and i am having no luck googling it. does anyone happen to know what i'm talking about?

It's a toy, if that.

Seems like it would be fun for a few minutes, it's just a more modern looking device using ideas from pre-existing dj and effects equipment.

i saw someone playing with one on the subway a while ago. it's pretty amazing what you can do with it .. and it looks so basic and simple.

that chick is really cute.. but she sings weird.
