Keep getting this error message upon logging in; can get to the character selection and select it and then go to log in after "Notifying lobby of character selections" or whatever it says and get this error message and thus not log on.

"No response from the FFXI server.
Connection timed out.
Press OK to shut down."

Any ideas? Was working fine yesterday.

many people have been having connection issues over the last couple days. id give it a bit before you go tweaking things and cause a real problem. if it keeps up id dig deeper.

Well I tried to log in this morning with the same problem, but just shrugged it off, but it's still happening.

I just got the pc version yesterday and installed pol viewer and had an network error as well. but it was pol 1160 or sumthin. A lot of people told me on alla today that lately people have been having the same issue and that I prob just need to restart my modem and check my firewall and disable/ see if it is accepting the games connection etc.
